Welcome!
Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy the encyclopedia and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style and cheatsheet. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ. If you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Also, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page.
Additional tips
editHere are some extra tips to help you get around in Wikipedia:
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using four tildes (~), which will look like this: MB298 (talk) 04:40, 25 October 2015 (UTC). Signing your name with three tildes (MB298 (talk)) will remove the timestamp, so I recommend using four.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the articles for deletion page. There is also a articles for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your Wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
- Feel free to join a WikiProject or two. A WikiProject is, basically, a group of Wikipedians who work together to improve coverage on a specific topic area (e.g., WikiProject Greece or WikiProject Mammals). Join WikiProjects on topics you are interested in (if you are interested in warfare of the Middle Ages, you may consider joining [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Military History|WikiProject Military History).
- Customize your user page with userboxes.
- And if you want to welcome people to Wikipedia just like I did to you, you can join the welcoming committee.

Speedy deletion nomination of DAVID O WRIGHT
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on DAVID O WRIGHT requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
