You're welcome! I thought I'd help you with your userpage creation (it doesn't have to go through AfC). Best, PrussianOwl (talk) 09:06, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, PrussianOwl! I am working on a draft of David Amerland, a british author. I'll follow existing author articles in forming it. I believe I add a template to then ask for a review? @PrussianOwl:

As far as drafts go, your looks pretty polished. To add the AfC template, add {{AFC submission}} to the top of the page. If you're autoconfirmed, however, you can just move your page into mainspace without going through the AfC process. One thing I would stress above all else is addition of reliable sources. Get reliable, secondary, published sources, at least two or three but the more the better, and your page will likely be safe. PrussianOwl (talk) 17:49, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, PrussianOwl! Updated with draft notice! Thanks so much! I'm devising the outline. added COI -> friend and request others to assist and review. I need to find a category for people born in 1974 and any other relevant author cats at the bottom of the page. draft @PrussianOwl:

  Hello, Dprophitjr. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Blocked edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Request reason:

I have made edits to other pages. This was a draft I had reviewed by two other users with higher privileges.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 23:00, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Yes I did tweet that I would help other companies, book publishers and authors because I had gained enough experience to get the ball rolling. I had TWO wikipedians with authority review my draft to ensure I wasn't going in the WRONG direction. The wikipedian who denied the page and asked for the deletion was using curse words on twitter to reply to me. I blocked him for his juvenile communication. It wasn't more than 10 minutes later that all this happens and I'm blocked. I have made small edits to established pages to get my feet wet. I had just began to design my talk page. It is NOT my intention to use wikipedia entirely for commercial gain. I still have learning to do. It's not as easy as people think to understand all the rules and code syntax required to be a thoughtful contributor. Why am I being harshly treated on a user draft page submission? It wasn't even a live article! At most, feedback should have been given. I had already made the COI claim on the draft article talk page. I was quite open with my relationship with David Amerland. I had read that if the subject's work had been published by a known publisher that the threshold of notoriety had been met. I was convinced of that fact because he had a library of congress ID. I'm asking that the page be put back and feedback be given IF someone believes I'm going in the wrong direction and COLLABORATE instead of using curse words at me on twitter. Reflects poorly on the reputation of Wikipedia. Is it often that such severe punishment is made from a DRAFT page? Probably not. @PrussianOwl: He told me the page was polished enough in the article draft talk page. Again, I believe certain people are overreacting. Dprophitjr (talk) 12:45, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Your submission read as blatant advertising. You should probably stick to writing marketing copy, which has no place on Wikipedia. As long as we believe that you intend to use Wikipedia to write about your clients, I cannot see that there is any likelihood of you being unblocked. Yunshui  13:24, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Honestly I think we should give @Dprophitjr: the benefit of the doubt. With reservations, I endorse his unblocking. -PrussianOwl (talk) 02:04, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, @PrussianOwl: I wasn't trying to write marketing copy. @Yunshui: seems to have been a bit insulting in their remarks. I honestly tried to convey a living person's bio of an author. That includes published works by a known publisher. Included authorities records. I'm waiting on the author to provide more biographic information about their life. I still request the deleted DRAFT be reinstated into my user space. Still baffled how drafts in my user space become deleted? Even my user theme is gone. Feel frustrated in the learning curve. --- Dprophitjr (talk) 18:39, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
