Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for pointing out the problem with the link at Talk:Uta Hagen. You might like to start by reading the tutorial and introducing yourself at the new users page. For ideas of what to put on your user page, see Wikipedia:User page. Your a lil bitch for delteing my shit, ...wHORE.! Sohail Ahmed If you have any questions, you can ask at the help desk or on my talk page. Two useful tips are that you can sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) and you can preview your changes before you save using the show preview button. You can regularly find new tips on the Community Portal. I look forward to reading your great articles and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. :) Angela. 00:47, 25 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Hi, you have edited out the changes I made to asteroid and planets, and I'm fine with that. Previously I was autoblocked by Can't sleep, clown will eat me, so I changed my username. I now see what is acceptable and what isn't, so you don't have to worry about me! Can't sleep, clown will eat me was much stricter about it. I didn't realise it was actually going to appear on the internet. Thanx for explaining to me!Asteroidz R not planetz 17:01, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Revert on Shakira page

Hi, I think you may have made a mistake with your recent revert to Shakira. The vandalism you referred to in the edit summary was made on July 9, as is the version you reverted to. I'm going to go ahead and revert again. Let me know if there's something else at work here. --Galaxiaad 01:42, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Revert to Green Day

I'm sure it was unintentional, but you reverted the Green Day article to a nearly 2 month old version. If it was intentional, then I'd ask you to bring it up on that page's talk section before doing so again. Thanks! Blah3 21:33, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Revert on "Psycho" movie page

I believe it was incorrect to have my article reverted before I was entirely finished with it. I went back to edit a couple grammatical errors and the system told me all the changes were erased. Every source material was noted on the links provided to other articles, and I had citations that needed to be added, but the articles were clear, nuetral, and I knew my facts. -Bryan

  • See your talk page for my response(s.) But rest assured, your changes are not erased and all still exist in the article's history. Dina 22:29, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Italian American article revert

Why were my edits to that article immediately reverted?128.164.229.179 14:35, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

I believe that inserting racial and ethnic slurs into encyclopedia articles is vandalism. A gross generality like "Italian Americans are notoriously racist against blacks." is an ethnic slur. Although racism certainly occurs in many American cultures, and discussions of it can be informative, inflammatory, unreferenced contributions like that are disruptive to Wikipedia. It is a goal of all articles to represent a neutral point of view - please see WP:NPOV Thanks Dina 14:40, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

I didn't throw that comment into the article nakedly like that - I pointed out that the phenomenon is oft spoken-of in US culture, and referenced in pop-culture featuring Italian-Americans. Somebody viewing these films and listening to these celebrities would easily notice this re-occuring theme. Why should this article be so silent about it? It be as outrageous as this article never mentioning the mob stereotype, and thus would be obvious evidence of POV influence.128.164.229.179 15:04, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

I moved our discussion about your proposed edits to Italian American to the article's talk page. Dina 15:20, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome

Dina at AfD and on RC patrol. Родина-мать зовёт!

Looks like I've returned the favor, so no problem, and now someone was messing with your music dab advice, so I did the rollback again. About your userpage, are you a curator? What types of art, if I may ask? Regards, DVD+ R/W 03:59, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply, science museums are cool too. I sort of started editing here for the same reasons, to get better at writing for the GRE, but now that its done I write less formally and degenerate into WPisms or chatty internet type stuff :-)
About that RCP AfD, I kind of want to close it early, for some of the nonsense going on there, but I'll probably hold off. That's one of the things you can do as an admin. I think it could safely be done under A7 because with no references or verifiability it miserably fails WP:BIO, or WP:BAND, and shows up with 0 google hits. It could probably be done, maybe under G1, for some of what's going on there.
You seem like you'd make a good admin yourself. You could probably pass now, but if you wait it will be surer as you'd get more support with more recognition later. If you want any advice on this let me know, I'd even nominate you or co-nom down the road, if you'd be interested. DVD+ R/W 18:23, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Я люблю русский язык. (sorry this took so long, I don't have an IME and am not that fluent)
About the sock drawer, it is well put together, but since the subject of the article is a group, it may be different people behind each one. Who knows though, don't let them bother you much. And another place to take socks sometimes is WP:RFCU, but I don't think that is necessary with these guys.
If you have any questions about images feel free to ask, I've been working with them more lately, mostly deleting backlogged ones with copyright problems. But I also upload them, or transfer ones from other Wikis to the Commons on occasion. There has been alot of controversy, which worries me, surrounding the {{PD-Soviet}} here and at the Commons (where it just got deleted, out of process in my opinion). I also just placed the first pic on your talkpage :-) If you don't like it, feel free to take it down. DVD+ R/W 19:24, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Images of Moscow

Well, the images linked to that template are historical Soviet era artworks, propaganda, and photos. Some examples are Image:Reichstag flag.jpg, Image:Women making ammunation.jpg, Image:What is an aryan.jpg, and Image:Venera 4.jpg but there are many many many more. People have taken it upon themselves to update the templates within a 7 day grace period before deletion, but unfortunately their detractors are calling them into question, and deterring the process- but I have some experience with the people doing the re-templating and trust them.

As far as your images go, I'd love to see them and will help as much as I can in uploading them and placing them in articles. My advice is to create an account at the Commons, much like you did here. Maybe create a temporary file either here or there to place them in, something like User:Dina/sandbox/gallery. When uploading them choose "GFDL content created by the uploader" as the license. To top it off, make sure to fill out this form (which is also provided when uploading) and include it in the Summary box. {{Information |Description= |Source= |Date= |Author= |Permission= |other_versions= }} . It expands to make a nice template, though you really only need to choose an appropriate copyright template and indicate the source, in this case yourself. DVD+ R/W 00:33, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Drop me a note, maybe here, if you still want to do this. They won't be replacement ones but they would probably be beneficial, maybe more so since you are the author. DVD+ R/W 23:29, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Sorry to be a pest. Are you going to upload more? I'm eager to see them. DVD+ R/W 00:21, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Sorting articles with asterisks if you want a list...

I found that it's best to use asterisks to sort out items in a list rather than go straight across. I saw on your Userpage that you had these things horizontally rather than vertically, and when I went to edit, you didn't have an asterisk beside them, inferring that you might want to make a list. Does vertical sound OK to you? --D.F. "Jun Kazama Master" Williams 18:58, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Not a problem. I would have been a minute quicker to revert it, but I was googling "shnizzle doggie" and "shizzle doggie" to confirm my suspicion that it was nonsense. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 00:29, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

I just renamed the file...added .exe to the end of it and it worked. also DL'd the 2 text files in Betacommand's sandbox and put them in the VandalProof folder. When it opened and I checked the RC list it had a new column indicating potential "bad words" in the new edits...very handy. Although I am not an RC patroller...with that new function I may use it more often. Good luck! Anger22 14:13, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
