Snooker season 2008/2009 edit

Hi, I appreciate the effort you've put into the Snooker season 2008/2009, I think you've done a good job. I think adding the results of the finals would be a good idea, and perhaps just have 'Date' rather than 'Start' and 'End'. What do you think? Samasnookerfan (talk) 14:49, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just letting you know that I have created a template of the Snooker season, Template:Snooker season 2008/2009. A new tournament in Bahrain has been announced. Samasnookerfan (talk) 18:45, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I don't get what you mean by found? I didn't start the page, I'm just filling out results. - Nick C (talk) 17:13, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Categories edit

It's great that you are creating snooker tournament articles. But no one can easily find them unless they are categorized. Please add [[Category:Snooker tournaments]] (or a more specific existing subcategory of that category) to such articles. Thanks. :-) — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 04:43, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Kozakken Boys edit

A tag has been placed on Kozakken Boys requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. CultureDrone (talk) 15:02, 9 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

test for the map of knvb cup:

KNVB Cup 2008-09 edit

Hi! Are this map and tables really necessary in a regular cup season which isn't even that long? Check out other cup competitions. Not one of them has the map or anything similar. Information from the tables are also really easy to put in the matches' tables without making it less understandable or readable. These are only suggestions that you don't have to do, but please think about them. This isn't that big problem (although in my opinion a large map like this doesn't look very nice), just complicating something really simple. Bye! SonjiCeli (talk) 22:50, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Achilles 29.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Achilles 29.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:28, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

2009 Grand Slam of Darts edit

Nice work on the page creation, however there were a few inaccuracies with the invitation criteria that you provided, which I've fixed. But good work nonetheless. Regards. Cs-wolves (talk) 20:34, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Although it may say America on the planetdarts.tv website page, David Fatum is Canadian and qualified through the North American Order of Merit. Look at Fatum's results: both of them say Canadian. Just wanted to clear that up. Regards. Cs-wolves(talk) 19:29, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with File:BahrainChship2008.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:BahrainChship2008.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
