Edits on Various articles edit

Science and technology in the Republic of India edit

You have inserted a tag in that article without providing adequate rationale. I have undone the edit since the reasons were not clearly explained. Kindly use talk:Science and technology in the Republic of India to demonstrate your point of view by initiating an argument. The one thing that perplexes me is that the Nehru citation begins with the very first word of the article—raising questions if you had read it.

Architecture of India edit

You inserted a large amount of text without providing adequate citations and have used words like 'A feature of Hoysala temple architecture is its attention to exquisite detail and skilled craftmanship' (that line did have a source but I hardly think such fan language belongs on Wikipedia). Also writing 'Percy Brown in Kamath (2001), p134' and 'Cousens in Kamath 2001, p117' (copy/paste from article) is inadequate sourcing. Where is the publisher, ISBN, date, author name (Kamath who?) etc.

Kindly use the talk page to explain your edits in case you want to create consenseus to keep them.

I have little or no sense of how the images should be placed so I just stack them. Your repositioning and handling of images, on the other hand, is excellent. JSR (talk) 10:25, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Having said the above I see you're making a lot of contributions. I'm still waiting for my concerns to be addressed on Talk:Architecture of India. JSR (talk) 17:57, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

J&K edit

I could not, as the Reliance connection that I am using at home sometimes refuses to help me save a page. So I had to use a simple Rollback. Shovon (talk) 05:34, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Montage edit

Look, I would hate to edit war with you, but you need to understand that there are some key issues with your montage. And rather than discussing it onthe talk page or waiting for the vote, you have continued to add random images. There is nothing wrong with the India gate image. It shows a different view of the monument. As for Safdarjung's Tomb, it is not as important as some of Delhi's other monuments like Humayun;s Tomb, etc. You need to compromise. Nikkul (talk) 18:08, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi,

In true Wikipedia Spirit, I have taken into account your feelings in the new montage. I have added a new image of Humayun's tomb and also kept the Akshdhram Temple image you wanted. I think the India gate image should stay since this is a prime symbol of Delhi. Since I have taken your feelings into account, please do not replace this montage. Thanks. Hi edit

Hi! Just passed by your talk page. You have done great edits in Delhi. Thanks a lot. Hope the article will be improving even more. I have not been able to see/edit the article for a long time. In fact, after it was featured, I hardly edited it. It seems a better article now thanks to the input by you and others. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 00:04, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh, you are the same Deepak! I thought you are a new user :) Nice to meet you after a long time. regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 00:06, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Of course I remember you! How are you?--Dwaipayan (talk) 02:16, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
How are you doing, man? Delhi was in the main page a few days back, I hope you noticed :)--Dwaipayan (talk) 23:31, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Suleman Mirza edit

Don't be ridiculous. I'm an administrator, I'm not about to be making test edits- do not template the regulars. Furthermore, describing good faith edits as "vandalism" is not going to get you anywhere, nor is reverting edits by respected contributors without comment. Continue like that, you will find yourself blocked; please use some common sense and don't assume every edit you disagree with is vandalism. J Milburn (talk) 08:19, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

What are you actually annoyed about? The fact I redirected an article on a non-notable performer, or the fact I told you not to describe good faith edits as vandalism? Why don't you drop the rhetoric and veiled threats, and actually tell me why you believe I am behaving in an inappropriate way? J Milburn (talk) 20:37, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
