Kari Jobe and lists of songs

edit

WP:PURPLIST discusses what the purpose of lists are. There are two problems with the recent proliferation of songs that Jobe has performed on.

  1. The entries are not referenced. This can be overcome if there's a link to an article that is referenced and supports that information. So for instance, 2013: "Crown Him (Majesty)" with Chris Tomlin on Burning Lights links to Burning Lights and there's a reference there to http://www.ccmmagazine.com/magazine/2013/jan/50.htm that supports that Jobe was featured on the album. The ones you've been adding don't have such support.
  2. The entries are related to both albums and subjects that aren't interdependently notable. In other words, they don't have articles.

Wikipedia isn't a fan compendium of everything about a subject, it's an encyclopedia. Please take more care when adding material to it. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:11, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

OK. I am going to delete all of the non-notable entries shortly. Don't get angry. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:46, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Do what you have to do to correct it, Walter. No hard feelings. I just had info on Jobe I thought I'd share. I can see your point about referencing. I'll do better next time. DavidHHagen (talk) 15:24, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
