Josh Lucas (musician)'s page

Hi, I noticed you wanted to delete this page I'm working on. If you would be so kind as to just hold off for a little bit, there isn't much information on it yet because I was looking around. I hope that's good enough, if not, I know you have to do what you have to do.

RE: Note on User talk:Z4ns4tsu/Userboxes

That was, indeed, the right place to ask. The best way to set up your user box would be to go to User:Z4ns4tsu/Userboxes/NCAA-Purdue and just copy in the code of your user box (which looks stellar, btw) and save the page. Then, go back to User:Z4ns4tsu/Userboxes and if the link for your new userbox is blue instead of red, edit that page too and just save it with a comment like "refreshing subst" or "adding Purdue user box" (you don't have to make any changes). If the link is still red, try re-loading the page (ctrl-F5 in IE and FireFox, different than refreshing) and checking again. If it is still red, make sure that the page was saved and try again. If you have any more questions or any problems, you can ask them either on the archive's talk page like you did before, here, or on my user talk page. I'll do what I can to help you. z4ns4tsu\talk 14:05, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

CFB Welcome

Hi, and welcome to the College football Wikiproject! We are a group of editors who love college football and work to improve Wikipedia's coverage of this sport.

There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

If you have any ideas you would like to share or if there is any way your fellow college football fans can help you, please feel free to ask on the project talk page.

Editing Question

I appreciate your question in regards to your edits I reversed. One was the color indicator for the loss to Notre Dame. The color you chose was just a bit different from the common one used for college football. Also, you addded Notre Dame's rank to the rank box for Purdue. Really nothing to worry about in the long term. I just try to keep the Purdue page akin to the ones for other football teams based on the yearly page format. I like that Purdue fan userbox you made. Good work. Mind if I take it for my userpage?E Pluribus Unum 18:57, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for reverting vandalism to my page. --Nlu (talk) 06:06, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

The "Vicariously" page

That page can go ahead and be deleted, I don't need it. It was just a mistake that became an article on which I never elaborated.

Thank you.

Thanks for recommending that I join Wikipedia on User talk:81.79.6.120. I recently noticed someone with the same IP address as me has been vandalising, so I see it as a benefit joining now.

Oh, and I know most of you still have a sense of humour, I was joking. But you would know I was, since you have one. MarcRS 21:25, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Tagging foreign language articles

Hi. I see you tagged Josemanuel martinez for speedy deletion as "in a foreign language". Thanks for your concern to remove inappropriate articles from Wikipedia, but being in a foreign language is not in itself a criterion for speedy deletion. If the article is already on another language Wikipedia it's liable for deletion as {{db-a2}}. However if you're not sure, you could consider adding the tag {{notenglish}}, then adding the article to pages needing translation (the "notenglish" tag tells you how - don't worry if you don't recognise the language involved, just leave it as "unknown"). Wikipedians with good language skills keep an eye on WP:PNT and should take a look at the article and, if appropriate, can translate it. Again thanks for your partolling effort, though! No problem. You may be interested to know that Yupik took a look at it. Yupik's userpage says he/she is a "professional language freak", and they said (regarding Josemanuel Martinez): "Google gave 96 hits and I even lived in the area that he's from during the period he was supposedly a hit. Never heard of him", so the article's been deleted as {{db-band}} anyway. Ah well. Cheers, Tonywalton  | Talk 18:24, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia Main Page

Someone vandalised the Main Page.

Just thought I should let someone know, since I don't know how to fix it.

If you do, please, please, please do so. It's disgusting.

New user warning messages

Hey there, take a look at WP:UTM for the new warning messages. Things like {{blatantvandal}} are being deprecated. Cheers! --Brad Beattie (talk) 21:03, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Padme

Thanks, feel free to intervene on this article's behalf anytime. These Star Wars characters' articles are always plagued by edits that amount to little more than nonsense. Dmoon1 03:27, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Ilaiyaraaja (music samples)

I read the guideline you provided. Thanks. Perhaps the song clips could be integrated in the article of origin itself. Unless perhaps I provide a good argument for retaining the page in dispute. Separately, there is an article that is very similar to the current page that's in dispute, which is this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_A._R._Rahman_awards_and_accolades. It lists just the awards and accolades received by the named musician, and nothing else. This article appears to be accepted by Wikipedia. Which is strange because if you argue my page cannot just be for audio samples, then this page I just highlighted cannot exist because it is used just to list a musician's awards and accolades. AppleJuggler 13:34, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

So let me get this straight: pages dedicated to sound samples or images are not allowed at all on Wikipedia? AppleJuggler 13:40, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Just read the new guideline you provided. You may delete the page. I will create a section for audio samples on the article of origin. Thanks for taking the time to explain. Regards, AppleJuggler 13:42, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
No worries, mate. It has been a difficult process with this article - built and tinkered almost single-handedly on a subject for which credible sources are rare, but fleshing out an article out of this interesting musician has been a (rewarding) challenge in itself. You certainly did a speedy and professional job in dealing with the creation of pages that do not conform to Wikipedia's rules. I appreciate your patient explanation. Well done, and all the best!
