Userbox Question edit

Ok, I guess I'm a little new at this. I hope this is the page to ask this on... I have a Purdue User Box that I made and I wanted to add it to the list, but I'm completely unsure of how to do so. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Cyrus Andiron 13:29, 3 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

This was, indeed, the right place to ask. The best way to set up your user box would be to go to User:Z4ns4tsu/Userboxes/NCAA-Purdue and just copy in the code of your user box (which looks stellar, btw) and save the page. Then, go back to User:Z4ns4tsu/Userboxes and if the link for your new userbox is blue instead of red, edit that page too and just save it with a comment like "refreshing subst" or "adding Purdue user box" (you don't have to make any changes). If the link is still red, try re-loading the page (ctrl-F5 in IE and FireFox, different than refreshing) and checking again. If it is still red, make sure that the page was saved and try again. If you have any more questions or any problems, you can ask them either here like you did before, as a reply on your user talk page, or on my user talk page. I'll do what I can to help you. z4ns4tsu\talk 14:10, 3 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

New Question edit

One the userbox for the University of Georgia, is there a way you can delete the "category" tag that labels me as an alumni of UGA.Dawg1279 04:52, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I can, but it would be a breaking change for everyone else that uses the userbox and is an alumnus/alumna. What I'll try to do is get the category tag moved inside the parser function so that {{User:Z4ns4tsu/Userboxes/NCAA-Georgia|fan}} will not add the category. It may take me a while, though. z4ns4tsu\talk 17:48, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay, just keep informed so I can change mine over. Dawg1279 10:14, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Florida Userbox edit

I added a Florida Userbox. I figured using a generic "F" would be too bland, so I added a public domain image of an Alligator. As it's the only one using an image (Aside from the Oregon O image) I figured I'd ask if that's good enough? Also, as it's my first userbox, I probably screwed something up. So. Y'know. I suppose the main point is that it probably sucks, and somebody may want to work it over a little (MAN I have awesome self esteem!). -FrYGuY 15:38, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I noticed it this morning. You did a good job, as far as I'm concerned. I did check on the copyright status of the image you used and was happy to see that I didn't need to change anything. Since it's your first box, congrats! I'm sure that a lot of Gators will find it useful. z4ns4tsu\talk 22:21, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
