Replies at the Teahouse

Hi - I've seen you around the Teahouse for quite a while now, but you don't seem to realize when it is or is not appropriate to reply to a question. If someone else has already given a satisfactory reply, adding another reply with the same information is not necessary, especially if you post a day or two later (which means you've just delayed the archiving of the already answered question). Also, some of your replies, like this one, tend to be unrelated and basically unhelpful. Please try to resist the urge to reply simply for the sake of replying - read the other responses, and if you think something important has been left out, please do add it. Otherwise, just move on. 199.208.172.35 (talk) 17:58, 28 February 2023 (UTC)

Okay. Sorry about that. Cwater1 (talk) 18:01, 28 February 2023 (UTC)

Survey

Hello! I just wanted to give you a heads up that I moved your participation in this RFC from the discussion section (which is generally for follow-up comments on others' survey votes or prolonged back-and-forths) to the survey section :) --Jerome Frank Disciple (talk) 16:48, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

I edited my message since then. Cwater1 (talk) 16:51, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
Thanks! That topic is long. Cwater1 (talk) 16:51, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Ways to improve Swimming pool covers

Hello, Cwater1,

Thank you for creating Swimming pool covers.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Hi. You need to post more in line citations to references that you intend for this article. Right now I don't think it passes the Notability hurdle that is required for an article on Wikipedia. See: WP:N, WP:RS, WP:5P if you're not already familiar with these.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Steve Quinn}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

I am glad to help. I plan on to continue to improve the article. I plan finding sources and remove some of the text. I think some are WP:Original Research. Merging the article back into the swimming pool article could be last resort, I want to try to avoid that. Cwater1 (talk) 03:23, 22 May 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Swimming pool covers

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Swimming pool covers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://falconpools.net/contact-us. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Onel5969 TT me 17:19, 28 May 2023 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Zygote Media Group, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 3D.

I fixed it. Thanks for the notice. Cwater1 (talk) 14:29, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

August 2023

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:We Didn't Start the Fire are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. ― Blaze WolfTalkblaze__wolf 03:08, 21 August 2023 (UTC)

Sorry, I wasn't trying to cause trouble. It was more trivial how I said it. I was trying to suggest a contribution but it sounded original research. Cwater1 (talk) 04:22, 21 August 2023 (UTC)

Mississippi Highway 740 moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Mississippi Highway 740. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 01:43, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

I plan on adding more content to the article and with reliable sources. It was an attempt to get something going. Cwater1 (talk) 04:45, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
