Promotional editing

edit

While I applaud your declaration as a paid editor, your editing at Ryman Auditorium clearly shows why paid editing is discouraged at Wikipedia. Your edits contained some useful facts, but couched those facts in overtly promotional language. I recommend that you do no further edit the page, but rather make edit requests at Talk:Ryman Auditorium. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:59, 23 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi @WikiDan61
I would love to get feedback on what specific language was overtly promotional. All of the edits I provided were factual and I used citations as much as possible. If there are additional citations needed I'm happy to provide those as well. Countryfan2427 (talk) 21:16, 23 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi @WikiDan61
Just following up here. Would love to get feedback on what specific language was overly promotional so my team can make adjustments if needed. Thank you! Countryfan2427 (talk) 19:28, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've reverted myself. I must have been in a cranky mood the day I reverted your edits. There are some questionable phrases ("A storied stage...", "one of the most venerable performance venues in Nashville" (you'd need a source for that)) but on the whole, it's fine. Sorry for the misunderstanding. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:57, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Good to know, thank you so much!! We have also some suggestions for the Grand Ole Opry page. What would be the best way for me to go about adding them? Countryfan2427 (talk) 21:21, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Ole Red

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ole Red, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
