Help request edit

where can i find list of names of wikipedia articles needing attention in terms of content or anything else?

Hello, I moved your question down, because that is where new threads usually go. Thank you for wanting to clean up articles. You can try Category:All pages needing cleanup, or the more sorted lists at the community portal. You can also just press the random article link until you find something to fix. Hope that helps! Speedy deletion nomination of Vinmar International edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Vinmar International, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved.

Blocked edit

You've been blocked for 31 hours because you placed several speedy deletion tags on articles, which were not appropriate as you used them. I'm assuming this is because you haven't read the policies on how and when to list articles for deletion.

The block does not apply to this talk page, so you can respond here, explain what happened, or ask questions. If you didn't make those edits, let us know that too and change your password.

You may also request to be unblocked, by typing {{unblock|Your reason here}}Guanaco 09:58, 22 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • Coder M, to be absolutely clear, I am not certain what the intent behind your tagging was, or if the person controlling this account is still you. Regardless of that, however, the 31 hour block was only an emergency measure; you are highly unlikely to be unblocked until you can explain what you did wrong, or at the very least give an undertaking not to repeat the process. The page Narpat Singh Rajvi is Fanpage started by him or a fan. The page has absolutely no referances or verifications justifying the information given on the page except one that directs us to his personal Facebook page which I beleive does not count as a referance. The page does unambiguous promotion of the person. It is like a news article and not an article of an encyclopedia. Also, the content inside the page was very less. The article which is supposed to be a biography of a living politician rather gives the information about where his son is Studying considering that the article is only five lines long. Of what relevance is it in an encyclopedia article?? Since the page claims several statements about the person without any referances except his personal Facebook page, these facts have the possibility of being false and made up.

I admit that I have been rampant and irrational in selecting the reasons and pages for Speedy deletion, but many of them do deserve a consideration. I agree that most of them have been about an Indian Politician but I have not been biased about the criteria. Most of the pages do not have a single referance or link or citation which can verify their content.

Vanamonde (talk) I admit I have been rampant and irrational regarding the speedy deletion of the pages but have justified it above.I assure you that I won't be irrational in future and hence won't do this . My last edit on DCB Bank was extremely genuine. Why was it reverted? I have just removed the redirecting of topics to dead pages and updated the information. The links/referances to all the information are also provided so you can verify. please unblock me so that can I can undo what you did or you do it for me.talk

First off, please don't mix your messages with the talk page posts of another editor. I have moved your comments to the bottom. Second; it's good that you are willing not to be "rampant," but from reading your message, I am not certain that you have understood the problem entirely. There were some blatant mistakes that made your edits very disruptive (for instance, WP:A3 should be applied only to pages that have no content). Therefore, I'm going to give you two options here. Either let me know that you will not tag any page for speedy deletion until you get a go ahead from an admin who has reviewed this discussion; or, explain to me right now what the problems were with the various tags that you used. Vanamonde (talk) 16:36, 22 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Okay, Coder M, you have not responded here, and your block has expired. Since you have not edited since the block, I see no point in reblocking you; instead, I am going to ask that you do not tag any page for speedy deletion until you can explain exactly what was wrong with your previous tagging. If you do tag any pages, it is likely that I will have to block you again. For any talk page watchers bothered by this unorthodox restriction: please see WP:ARBIPA and WP:IAR. Vanamonde (talk) 08:38, 24 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
That's a reasonable restriction, which I support. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:48, 24 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
