There are three proposals which need some comments. Please weigh in:

Two of the three are sensitive, and thuglas is taking the whole process personally. Finally, there has never been a standard for how much support is needed for the creation of a barnstar. The LGBT star went up with seven votes, and thuglas is threatening to post his star when he gets ten supportive votes. Thoughts? --evrik (talk)

Question

Hey there advocate, I have two questions:

1) Is there some way we could converse in private?

2) So on the [[1]] page there is some disucssion/argueing going on which now involves both me and Timidguy. He has said that he has no interest in the debate going on at that page, and if he is going to participate in the disucssion, I would like that page involved in the mediation as well.... historically he and I have had maybe 80+ arguements and have only been able to resolve three that I can remember! He does not wish the Maheshi Yogi page included, and I do, if he is going to continue participating in the disucssion. What can you reccomend?Sethie 23:32, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey advocate, I have a question. On the SIAS International University Page you just tagged me with a vandalism claim. I did not vandalize the page. There is a group who is in charge of recruiting for SIAS INternational University. But this group wants to cover it up and hush it up. They are a right wing religious group who has taken over the hiring, evaluating, and firing of this university. They are trying to cover this up and remove their names. I am just correcting the information. The link they keep trying to put in for recruiting is a 3 year old form that is no longer submittable, and no one reads it for hiring purposes. I am not vandalizing their page, they are removing "true" statements to cover up their involvement. What can I do? 61.125.229.196 00:54, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Wow. that was fast. Here are the people who are removing and editing out posts. 71.133.237.103 and one perez107 and one perez106 I have proof of what I claim in the form of their website advertisments, and their recuriting video that shows the schools name, owner, and numerous teachers involved in this. These are not baseless accusations 61.125.229.196 00:59, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi advocate. Here is another individual 71.129.205.96 who is editign out the existence of www.plugintoyours.com from wikipedia. I wonder what they are trying to hide? Other than breaking US laws for employment. Never underestimate the power of human stupidity. 12:29, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi. I am not sure if they are the same person. Iknow the one at and he is the (the whois says it is from sacramento ca, is located in dixon ca, which is a suburb of sacramento the chief executive officer of plugintoyours.com is one Joel. I'm assuming they are the same person. What I find very interesting is that he just edited out his name and plugintoyours.com from my post. wow... that is ballys Never underestimate the power of human stupidity. 12:11, 7 March 2007 (UTC). I appreciate the help. thanks.61.125.229.196 03:03, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi advocate. On the Sias International University page, now some administrator Husond has reverted the recruitment url back to the inaccurate recruitment url, and he has blocked the page. is there anything you can do? 61.125.253.217 14:19, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Energy portal & future selected articles

Hi! Over the past couple of months I've been spending much more time than I should developing the Energy portal, and intend asking for a portal peer review within the next day or so.

The portal provides a showcase for energy-related articles on Wikipedia. One of the most prominent ways is via a the selected article that is currently changed every 6 weeks or so. It would be good to increase this turnover, and with three Wikiprojects dedicated to energy-related topics and a good number of articles already written, I'd like to suggest that members of each Wikiproject might like to use the 'selected article' to feature some of their best work.

With this in mind, I'd like to suggest that your Wikiproject bypasses the normal selected article nomination page and decides collectively which articles are worth featuring - or these may be self-evident from previous discussions - and add short 'introduction' to the selected article at the appropriate place on page Portal:Energy/Selected article/Drafts, which includes further information. Your personal involvement would be welcome!

Please make any comments on your Wikiproject talk page, my talk page, or on Portal talk:Energy/Selected article/Drafts, as appropriate. Gralo 15:46, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Comment from 80.180.104.112

Hi cocoaguy (or whatever your name in katakana), I am "User talk:80.180.104.112". Looks like you just removed a modification of mine on the ITALIAN BAD WORDS PAGE or whatever its name. I usually log on on wikipedia as "sickdevice", by the way. I was in a hurry and could not log in, sorry.

Anyway, I am not very pleased at your classification of my intervention on the page as "vandalism".

First thing, I am very polite and do not like vandalism on Wikipedia, as on any other thing on this planet. Second: i am ITALIAN mothertongue, and I was editing a page about slang Italian, so who are you to determine what is vandalism and what is not? I have just added another meaning of a particular expression typical of Italian - and I have means to show you that actually "sti cazzi" may mean as well as express APPRECIATION with ENVY - and you show up and classify this as an act of vandalism? Your level of understanding Italian has to be **very, very** high to allow you to do so, don't you think?

I guess you are not from Italy, so what kind of authority do you have to decide what is vandalism and what is not? If you do not trust me, just ask some other Italian (especially from Rome and surroundings, where the meaning I pointed out is particularly used) before deciding about other people's submissions to the Wikipedia. Thank you.

I must say that I am a bit offended by your quick action against my totally benevolent contribution.

If you have something to reply, write me at lumidoro@gmail.com for continuing this discussion on a civil plane. Thank you.

P.S. Se la tua favella e' cosi' forbita da permetterti di entrare nel merito di questioni cosi' sottili e regionali, potrai capire anche queste righe in Italiano, no?

Stefano

That's okay; have a nice day. bye

stefano

My request for AMA

Hi, I see that you took on my AMA request. After filing the request, I stopped posting on the Lewis Libby talk page for a while, and refrained from interaction with the user that I felt had been harassing me and posting inappropriately. While I still think that the user's conduct was, well, inappropriate is the nicest word I can think of, I think the user has actually taken some of my criticisms to heart in regards to his/her conduct on the Libby page since the incidents. I don't know if this is worth pursuing at this point. Notmyrealname 05:23, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello again. Just saw the other user's response for input. Let me revise the above statement. I guess I would find it useful for you to review the whole exchange and weigh in on whether either or both of us were violating Wikipedia policies. In regard to the incident of including the other user's name in a talk page heading: it wasn't done in a hostile manner, I wasn't aware that it might be in violation of some Wikipedia guideline (is it?), and as soon as the other user mentioned it I apologized. I guess my concern is that if my take on things is correct, this other user made very hostile personal remarks about me rather than the content of my edits and that it would be helpful for an administrator to let him/her know that this is not cool. The result of our interaction was that I stopped editing the page and he/she did not. Thanks. Notmyrealname 23:46, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Alex Jones (disambig)

You have placed an "edit war" warning on my talk page.

I believe this is incorrect. I have made only one edit to that page, and I believe it is not controversal. After reviewing, please remove your warning. Regards, JohnI 19:15, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
