Context

edit

When starting an article such as Anisopleura furcata, it is very helpful to say what type of creature you're talking about. So helpful, in fact, that it really should be the first sentence of the article:

Anisopleura furcata is a species of dragonfly found chiefly in the Indo-Malaysian region.

Once you have established that basic context, all of the other information will make much more sense to readers. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 23:06, 25 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Anisopleura subplatystyla

edit

Hi, I'm A2-33. Chrisnightly, thanks for creating Anisopleura subplatystyla!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. It looks like this page is copied from the IUCN page. It would be helpful to edit it to avoid copyright issues, and to make it clear what the organism is.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. A2-33 (talk) 00:51, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

The article Aleczander. has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies.
