Success edit

Good job, you wrote a nice introduction, used links and made a list. Bulleted lists are easy to do. You click on the advanced arrow and then on the list type you want just like in a word processor! You can also type an asterick and the point you want to make to achieve the same thing. Have fun, Crtew (talk) 21:57, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Assignment edit

I assign you to write about José Antonio García Apac (a.k.a, "El Chino") who disappeared in the dangerous Michoacan area around 2006.

Please be aware that you have an unusual case here among these assignments. You're researching and writing about a missing person case. You need to adhere to all the standards of writing a bio about a living person. You may wish to consult a well known case of a non-journalist who is missing , such as the Disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Your article should be entitled the Disappearance of José Antonio García Apac. Another student is tackling the disappearance of Mario A. Segura and another student will take on Zane Plemmons. You may wish to also consult other articles in Wikipedia about missing journalists, such as Andrew Shumack or Frédéric Nérac, who are still missing (the articles are not very good at this time); or Dorothy Parvaz, who disappeared for a certain period of time (this article is well structured). As you're writing, err on the side of a reappearance. Look for what is noteworthy about this case. Just as in a newspaper article, you look for what is interesting and newsworthy, in this encyclopedic entry, you're looking for what is interesting and important in the big picture encyclopedic view of the world. Here you are emphasizing the long-term and not as in a newspaper the immediate, short-term point of interest. Good luck, Crtew (talk) 18:50, 4 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

KDWerner Peer Review edit

Hey, Cassidy!

Your article is really turning out great! It is easily recognized that you have done the research and have taken the time to read everything thoroughly (which is a great thing!). Has anyone else went missing with the place that your journalist worked for? I know you mentioned other journalists going missing, as well. I did not know if any others came from his work place, too? I suppose it isn't that important (somewhat), just curious if you knew! Kdwerner (talk) 03:21, 22 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Maybe I am simply missing it, but have you cited your sources within your article? After doing all of the research and taking all the time to do it, I am sure you want to give credit to someone. Kdwerner (talk) 03:18, 22 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Kamartin2 peer review edit

Your article looks good so far. I feel like you have some really good details and information to go off of.

I did pick up on somethings as I was reading through it though. First, your sentence structure can use some work. For example, a lot of your sentences could be put together so it won't sound so repeative. This was my second suggestiong, try to not repeat yourself as much in the article. Those are the main things I think you should work on KamartinKamartin2 (talk) 02:07, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia Education Program: student survey! edit

Hi! I work with the Wikipedia Education Program, and I'm hoping to get your feedback about your experience this semester! In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it would be very helpful to hear from real program students about their experience, so we know what to change. The survey takes no more than 10 minutes, and I'd really appreciate your response!

Thanks so much! JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 01:54, 18 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
