St. Gerard Majella Catholic Primary School edit

Thanks for your contribution of this article. You may be interested in WikiProject Schools as a source of guidelines for article structure. One thing of most interest, would be if you could cite some sources for your article, and also include a link to the school's web site, if available. This will help others verify information in the article, and contribute to it. Thanks and happy holidays. --Rob 23:35, 24 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Benny&Omar.JPG) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Benny&Omar.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:36, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Little context in Midnight for Charlie Bone (film) edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Midnight for Charlie Bone (film), by 172.133.18.83 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Midnight for Charlie Bone (film) is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Midnight for Charlie Bone (film), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 03:41, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fixing your page edit

What can I do for you. // F9T 20:46, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

thx edit

Its a personal view, but surely the wikipedia is for reading. So does the main article need a large template that says there are no refs or not enough ... the reader can see this. If we have comments on the article for editors then we can make them on the talk page - I think we should try and leave our articles to look good or as well as they can. I don't think the most important item about the article is that is fails a ref count check. cheers Victuallers (talk) 10:46, 23 January 2008 (UTC) As I said its a personal view. Thanks for the diffs but I think that this school article only having 4 or 5 refs is not a reason to head it up with a template - Surely these templates not be put at the end of the article, on the talk page etc without breaking policy. However, do as you see fit. Cheers Victuallers (talk) 21:56, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Suggestions for improvement are at Talk:Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom/GA2, and are mainly to do with coverage and neutrality, and building the lead section. Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is one of our most high profile and popular articles, attracting an average of over 11,000 readers every day. Knowsley Road photographs edit

The first play-off game at Knowsley Road could be the last game to be played there. It's looking likely that not that many more games will be played at Knowsley Road, Belle Vue, The Willows or Wheldon Road and we have very few free-to-use images of them (although the ones we have, particularly of Wheldon Road are very good). I wouldn't like to see our material on these historic grounds go the same way as the very limited material we have for the historic Boulevard Ground, Thrum Hall or the Parkside Ground. If you will be at the next play-off game at Knowsely Road or if you are able to get any pictures of these grounds I would be very gratefull if you could upload them to commons. I can sort out the categories and such if you don't have any time. Alternatively if you know of anyone who could it would be much appreciated. I am unlikely to go to any away games next season because of my current circumstances so will not be able to contribute towards this, although I shall endevour to get some great images at home games (I've a load of the CC final to upload but there sat it a very long backlog).

Liverpool F.C. wiki edit

Hello, I am the lead sysop on the Liverpool F.C. wiki. It is a wiki dedicated solely to Liverpool F.C.. We aim to make the ultimate database for the club we all love. Since adopting the incredibly inactive wiki about a month ago we have greatly increased the article count and modernized it from it's previous state. The problem is there are not many active members on the site and we need more for the site to properly grow. It is well organized and on it's way to be a great site we just need more editors to expand. It is based on Wikia's network of wikis. Like Wikipedia it is free to use and the editing process is exactly the same. If you know how to edit Wikipedia you will know how to edit the Liverpool F.C. wiki. Now for the question you may be asking yourself. Why edit there? Wikipedia has articles on Liverpool. This is true. At the Liverpool wiki it is all about Liverpool. We allow editors to edit anything about Liverpool no matter how trivial. We allow edits on reserve and academy players, and even things as trivial as the fitness coaches for the year 2011. We also do not lock pages to registered users. That means if you have something to say about Steven Gerrard you can click edit and not view source and actually write something. I would love for you to come by and check the wiki out. Feel free to edit any page. Every time you click edit your ARE helping this wiki grow. Thanks for taking the time to read this! http://liverpoolfc.wikia.com/wiki/Liverpool_FC_Wiki --Coffeeclub213 (talk) 02:22, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Invitation edit

There is a backstage pass coming up to be followed by an editathon in the State Library of New South Wales on 23 November. This is the first time that an Australian cultural institution has opened its doors to us in this way and will be a special opportunity because the Library is providing: one of its best rooms; its expert curators (along with their expertise and their white gloves); a newly launched website (containing new resources); and of course, items from its collection (including rare and usually unavailable material) which we can look at, learn from, and use, to improve WP articles. For example, on the chosen topic (Australia and WWI), the Library holds many diaries and manuscripts from the period.

As you can see from the Library's project page, they have connected this editathon with their own work. They have already set out a wide range of resources to make things easier for us. Please sign up on the editathon project page if you can participate either online or in person with other Wikipedians. Hope to see you there! ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New Challenge for Oceania and Australia edit

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Oceania/The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/The 5000 Challenge are up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. The Australia challenge would feed into the wider region one and potentially New Zealand could have a smaller challenge too. The main goal is content improvement, tackling stale old stubs and important content and improving sourcing/making more consistent but new articles are also welcome if sourced. I understand that this is a big goal for regular editors, especially being summertime where you are, but if you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Oceania and Australia like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1700 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for the region but fuelled by a series of contests to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. The Africa contest scaled worldwide would naturally provide great benefits to Oceania countries, particularly Australia and attract new editors. I would like some support from existing editors here to get the Challenges off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile and potentially bring about hundreds of improvements in a few weeks through a contest! Cheers.♦ --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:12, 24 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
