Sitebrand

edit

Having trouble here,

I've been trying to create a wikipedia page for Sitebrand the company which Wikipedia says doesn't exist,which is does. I inserted two refrences and have a dozen more that I was going to put into my article when an officer at Wikipedia took it off.

This article is about the company coming from a business magazine that is highly reputable,

http://www.ottawabusinessjournal.com/291293365508057.php

This was one of my refrences to my article.

Please let me know how I can fix this so my page doesn't get deleted next time.

Hi! Good to see that you are interested in contributing to Wikipedia. You may want to see Wikipedia:Your first article to get an overview of what is expected.

-- PseudoOne (talk) 20:19, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've expanded this article and added a couple more reliable sources, so this company's page won't be deleted. Could you take a look at the new version and see if I've made any mistakes? If you want to change the article or add more content, please be sure to cite your changes using reliable sources. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for more help on how to cite sources the Wikipedia way. If you need any help, feel free to leave a note on my talk page. Cunard (talk) 08:17, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Sitebrand. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Disregard that - Fastily (talk) 20:04, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

  Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Sitebrand. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Shawnpoo (talk) 20:08, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Help

edit

{{helpme}} Well since I have your attention, I could use your help. I'm trying to create a table that is shown on the right of the the screen like all other articles have. Any suggestions, everytime I try to create one it doesnt work. And my intentions are not to vandalize the site, but to contribute to wikipedia, I understand your concern.(Briannebassett (talk) 20:10, 6 March 2009 (UTC))Reply

Fixing it for you. :) — neuro(talk) 20:33, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
(editconflict) I'm guessing what you mean is an infobox. If you click here, you'll learn all about them. Cheers. //roux   20:34, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
The problem is that you have used {{Infobox film}}, not the appopriate one. Try getting an infobox from somewhere like Energizer Holdings and modifying it appropriately. — neuro(talk) 20:35, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! I've spent all afternoon on this !!!(Briannebassett (talk) 20:47, 6 March 2009 (UTC))Reply

I was wondering if someone could take a look at my box and see why it isn't working!!??

Conflict of Interest Warning

edit

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article sitebrand, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. -- samj inout 23:10, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

{{adminhelp}}

Could you please tell me how to delete this account, this user has violated our company's code of conduct. We are sorry if this user(s) have caused you a great deal of conflict. Thank you, and looking forward to hearing your response. (Briannebassett (talk) 19:55, 10 March 2009 (UTC))Reply

I think this needs an admin - I've changed the template to request admin help. Pseudomonas(talk) 20:16, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your assistance. (Briannebassett (talk) 20:18, 10 March 2009 (UTC))Reply

This didn't really need an admin. Accounts cannot be deleted, but I can explain how to lock yourself out. Has more than one person had access to this account? //roux   20:44, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

This account was to be used to teach students how to use wikipedia, the user and a fellow member of the group decided to vandalize the discussion page. We take these actions seriously, the student's will be dealt with. Is there any way we can change the username? A partial part of the username is one of the student's. We will use the following instructions to lock ourselves out. Thank you for your help. (Briannebassett (talk) 20:50, 10 March 2009 (UTC))Reply

Actually, you won't need to lock yourself out. Multiple people using a single account is very specifically forbidden by Wikipedia policies. I'll ask an admin to block this account permanently, and I'll ask to see if a name change can be performed for reasons of privacy. In the future, if you are going to use Wikipedia as part of your classroom work, please visit WP:SUP or WP:OUTREACH, which are projects specifically dedicated to helping out with that sort of thing. And please ensure that each of your students has their own account. Cheers. //roux   22:25, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely, I will inform them right away and show them what you have just written. I am so sorry that it had to turn out this way, I thank you for your advice and your time. If there is anything else I need to do please let me know. (Briannebassett (talk) 15:03, 11 March 2009 (UTC))Reply

I was trying to change the username but I can'tBriannebassett (talk) 17:47, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Since I can't change it , would one of you fine administrators be able to do so ? Briannebassett (talk) 17:50, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Only certain users can make name changes happen. I'll request it on your behalf. //roux   18:37, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
