Minor edits

edit

Hi CalicoCatLover,

Thanks very much for your constructive edit to Crocus. Unfortunately, it was marked as a minor edit—a designation that's reserved for insignificant changes such as corrections to grammar or formatting, not new and substantive content. For some reason I've never understood, the default setting is to mark all edits as minor, but you can change that in your preferences (scroll down to Advanced Options). If you don't change it, then please remember to uncheck the Minor Edit box when making substantive edits.

Cheers,

Hi,

At list of national capital city name etymologies, the entry for Lomé is broken, and has been since you created the page. It says, "the Alo

Misuse of minor flag

edit

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Changing "Hungarian" to "Hungarian Jewish" does not qualify as "minor". Thank you. Hi. When you recently edited No Sound But a Heart, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Steve Perry (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). I have reverted your edit to a footnote in the article "United States." Pennsylvania German is not an official language of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The references in the footnote pertain only to official languages of a state or territory (and not to languages merely accommodated in some jurisdictions).Mason.Jones (talk) 00:26, 28 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Unsourced biographical information

edit

Hi. I saw that you added an birth date to Leland Orser. It was unsourced, so I reverted it. Per WP:BLP, this kind of information needs to be properly sourced. It can't be taken from random websites, the IMDb, primary sources, or guessed at. This is important, because it can affect the lives of real people. Often, the exact day of birth is not publicly shared, but it sometimes comes up in interviews. You might try checking People, Entertainment Weekly, and other entertainment magazines.
