About Otelco

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Otelco a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into GoNetSpeed. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of UBPT

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on UBPT requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Bridgeport, Connecticut

edit

I reverted your edit at Bridgeport, Connecticut for the following reasons:

  • One of the photos you added was of a ship in the middle of Long Island Sound.
  • Your "short description" was not an improvement, per WP:SHORTDES.
  • The nicknames you added were unsourced, and one was a disambiguation link.
  • The text added about The University of Bridgeport was copied from some other article without attribution, per WP:CWW.

I see you are fairly new to Wikipedia, with very few edits. Please take a moment to visit some of the help pages with tutorials for new editors. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:32, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have also remove your addition of the category "American people of Portuguese descent", from several biographies that make no mention of this. Please stop your disruptive editing. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:40, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please stop claiming my edits as disruptive. You are correct in that my edits. but last names should be a clue to you that these individuals are of Portuguese descent. FLAD, Fundação Luso-Americana, is a legitimate organization and claims all the people who i made edits on are Portuguese-descended, but if you need a source, here is their website with all of the edits you reversed names on it : : https://www.flad.pt/lusodescendentes-eleitos/ Bloodclotboy12 (talk) 20:49, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Henry Stern (California politician), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 21:25, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'm growing a little frustrated with your persistent combative editing against some of my edits. I ask you, in the case of Dylan Fernandes, who is in the category of Category:American_people_of_Azorean_descent, what country is the Azores apart of? Bloodclotboy12 (talk) 21:48, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I'm concerned that this [1], with the restoration of a photo another user had already argued against and without an apparent resolution, constitutes an intent to edit war. And can you confirm that this account has no association with those of similar edit histories, Abrahamu San (talk · contribs) or Lima16 (talk · contribs)? 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 22:12, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
I can confirm I am not associated with those accounts. I own another account, which is named User:Gabbobler. I would like a suggestion as to what image I should include in the infobox since I am seeing no objections to my infobox changes with the exception of the ferry image. Bloodclotboy12 (talk) 22:28, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
I would also like to add I have solved the differences with that user and my intent was restore the infobox that had no objections. Bloodclotboy12 (talk) 22:30, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, Bloodclotboy12. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 04:17, 19 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Education in Bridgeport, Connecticut, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page St. Vincent's College. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
