The article Aubrey W. Young has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- State appointee - not an elected politician. Local notability only.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - Sinneed 14:54, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Texas Engineering Extension Service. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Also, kindly remember WP:BRD and do not continue reinserting the disupute content into this article about some random, unnotable, one-time assistant director. V.J. Bella
The links you are inserting to the V.J. Bella article from other articles for Louisiana politicians are not really appropriate. Simply having been appointed or non-notably replaced by a governor does not automatically make that fact biographical to the governor in question. jæs (talk) 05:26, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

DYK nomination for V.J. Bella
Hi, I saw the changes you made to this nomination a few minutes ago; I just thought I'd let you know I've looked them over and there are still issues, if you'd care to address them. The best way to get DYK hooks to get passed quickly is to use a hook that is as near as possible a direct quote from the article, where all the necessary text appears in the same sentence and there's an inline citation at the end of the sentence. That's obviously not the only way but if you use that as a guide you'll find yourself coming back to fix your hooks far less often. - DustFormsWords (talk) 04:58, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Thank you from the Shepperd/Morse family
?Mr./Dr.? Hathorn,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for starting the article on my grandfather Da (a.k.a. John Ben Shepperd). I was searching on the internet for his "freedom is not free" speech and I saw that he has a wonderful, in depth, wikipedia page. Please contact me if you ever have any questions about his life, clintonmorse@gmail.com
Again, thank you from the Shepperd/Morse family,

Thank you, clinton, for your kind words. Make any corrections needed. Add a section on the speech to which you refer with the reference. Again, thanks for your remarks. His autobiography should have been done much earlier. It was a trip to the Presidential Museum in Odessa that led me to write the article, because of his Odessa connection. There is also a story on that museum. Billy Hathorn (talk) 02:21, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Heartland Baptist Bible College
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Heartland Baptist Bible College. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Heartland Baptist Bible College. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Eklund Hotel in Clayton, NM IMG 0548.JPG
A tag has been placed on File:Eklund Hotel in Clayton, NM IMG 0548.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 19:01, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

- Its looks better but there is a problem with the hook's citation. While there is no reason for this guy to lie about his name on his political web site, these kinds of sites are not considered reliable. Maybe there's a newspaper interview or something to cite?Thelmadatter (talk) 22:00, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Winters
Hi. I notice you have been including the Winters reference in numerous articles. I have following after you in some of these to ensure the styles of citations and references match those already in the articles. However, please make note of some encyclopedic style: It is not necessary or desirable to include the author's name and book title in the text of the article when you are citing mere facts, such as so-and-so was appointed to a position. A footnote suffices. Reserve quotations from noted authors to introduce their opinions and to include colorful background material. Also, it is over-linking to include links to the names of publishers and their cities of publication. Thank you for your consideration. Hal Jespersen (talk) 16:42, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

- I did not see the chicago website mentioned. The material is from the Shreveport Times and is documented.Billy Hathorn (talk) 16:43, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

File:Another look at downtown Goldthwaite IMG 0782.JPG
Hello Billy,
I'd like to use this file in de-Goldthwaite (Texas), but I can't use it, as long as it isn't uploaded to commons. Would you do that, please?
Thanks from Germany --Am Altenberg (talk) 14:25, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
I put this on Commons, but it is thumbnail for some reason: Downtown Goldthwaite, TX IMG 0782.jpg Billy Hathorn (talk) 18:28, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Four Price
- Candidates for state legislature, as opposed to elected members, don't satisfy WP:BIO. If Mr. Price in fact wins in November, feel free to repost. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:17, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
