Speedy deletion nomination of Colorado State University Libraries Editathon

edit

Hello Bibliophage01,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Colorado State University Libraries Editathon for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 02:19, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I feel like a heel nominating such a worthy cause for deletion, but it isn't a notable topic. There are other places within wikipedia to advertise this event. It belongs in a Wikipedia namespace somewhere, not as an article. Thanks for your efforts, they are truly appreciated. All the best, 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 02:21, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I tried to do a little bit of research as to where an appropriate place for this information would be. I would start by asking a question at Wikipedia talk:Wikipedia Loves Libraries. Hopefully they will be of much more help than I have been. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 02:25, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Userfied page

edit

Hello, I wanted to let you know I userfied (moved to your userspace) the page noted above. You can find it at User:Bibliophage01/Colorado State University Libraries Editathon. Also, meetups are often listed at WP:MEETUP. It's totally acceptable to list it there if you'd like to, as that's in project space. It just can't go in main article space.

As an aside, I work with some Wikipedians here in Colorado who've gotten together periodically for photo shooting or editathons. If you'd be interested in looking at a collaborative project or you have any questions on moving your meetup page, please feel free to ping me. Wikipedia:Meetup/Calendar

edit

The problem at Wikipedia:Meetup/Calendar was that you hadn't created Template:Meetup/October 2014 to go with the new section. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:39, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
