License tagging for Image:Francis Ouellette.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Francis Ouellette.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:06, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Please note that this image has now been deleted as it was tagged as not having any copyright status for more than seven days. I have removed it from your user page. --TheParanoidOne 12:17, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bioinformatics.ca

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bioinformatics.ca, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.bioinformatics.ca/about.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) The content on the bioinformatics.ca wiki is indeed similar to what is on http://www.bioinformatics.ca/about, but that is OK, because I wrote both, and both are under CC-BY-SA-3.0 and therefore usable by all who wish to do so. All of the material (course material, postings, links directory are under the same licensing agreement, so please let us be free and share this information. francis (talk) 15:46, 31 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Cameron11598 (Talk) 18:13, 7 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
