Citation formatting; notability check edit

Let me know when you're done with the Frank Potenza draft and I'll take a look at the citation formatting to see how I can help. You'll also want to review this before you put too much time into this: Wikipedia:Notability_(music)#Criteria_for_musicians_and_ensembles. I did a quick hunt and while I'm not an expert in the music world, I'm not sure there's enough media coverage out there to demonstrate notability. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 22:25, 16 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

I will do that Tim, thanks. Regarding press, Frank has had write ups in such major music mags as Guitar Player Magazine, DownBeat, and he also has been included in The Great Jazz Guitarists: The Ultimate Guide by well-known jazz journalist Scott Yanow. That, to me, is enough notable press for an entry, or I would not have taken on all the work to do this bio. What do you think? I've seen entries of musicians with much less press than Frank Potenza. Anyway, the rest of my content will give up these media sources.

Once you have the sources in the article I can look them up. Or you could post them here in list format and I can review them but it sounds like you’re close. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 13:39, 17 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

June 2019 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at WP:TH, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Masum Reza📞 03:45, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Masum Raza, thank you for your note. I get it now. I had just wanted to delete a negative exchange but I can understand why everything must remain in discussion forums for the sake of full disclosure. My mistake. Best, BahnJour9120 (talk) 01:38, 24 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

No biggie as long as you keep that in mind. Most of the newcomers make mistakes. Masum Reza📞 01:40, 24 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Frank Potenza edit

I don't know if you are new. Wikipedia has rules, standards, and conventions. That is why in my edit summary I referred you to my page, but you ignored that comment and reverted my edits a second time a few seconds later. If you change these edits again, I will refer you to an administrator and you will face the possibility of being blocked from this site. Are you affiliated in any way with Frank Potenza? Are you a friend, relative, or fan which might inhibit your ability to be impartial? Have you been paid to edit this page? Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a newspaper, magazines, or TV show that is selling something. What matters here are facts and facts alone. Promoting someone's current or upcoming performances is considered against the rules of this site. Wikipedia isn't the place for free advertising to boost the sales of someone you admire. Wikipedia does not sell, advocate, or promote any person, place, thing, cause, movement, or idea. Do you know what an embedded link is? When you accused me of "gutting the introduction", I deleted the embedded link and the information that "Potenza plays regularly at..." You can't be his booster. If that is what you want, you cannot edit Wikipedia. If you continue to disrupt correct editing, you will face the consequences.
