Editing for pay or other consideration

edit

On my talk page you have stated that you are editing Wikipedia for a client, and that you wish to enjoy being part of Wikipedia for a long time to come (my paraphrasing). If you intend to do this on behalf of clients you must read WP:PAY and understand how to proceed. Fiddle Faddle 08:09, 3 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ayazf, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for sock puppetry. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 22:45, 20 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Unblock Request

edit

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Ayazf (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I have been blocked for about 2 years now and during this periods I have avoided to create a new account as I now perfectly well understand the policies and rules of Wikipedia. As I am very much interested to contribute in a meaningful manner and become a valued member of the Wikipedia community. I am thus requesting for the block to me removed. I promise not to violate the Wikipedia policies in future.

Decline reason:

The AN discussion (permalink) was archived before closure, but the consensus at the point of archiving appears to be opposd to an unblock. I am therefore closing this appeal as declined. You may re-request unblock under the terms of the standard offer after February 2nd, 2018. Yunshui  11:20, 8 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This blocked user is asking that their block be reviewed on the Unblock Ticket Request System:

Lonsafko (talk) 14:19, 9 August 2017 (UTC)Ayazf did nothing wrong. He was only trying to help. Sockpuppetry?! Seriously... The problem stemmed from your editors zeal to block information. Five years ago, I created an autobiographical page. Every one of my accomplishments were rejected time and again. I had a year long conversation with the editor to try to convince him that all the claims I was making was completely truthful and valid. Many of the accomplishments were made before the invention of the Internet and the editor continuously insisted on "Independent Internet Sources" of which there weren't any. The editors continuous complaint was, that the entries were "auto-biographical". Out of shear frustration, I gave up and asked Ayazf to try to complete the page. That's when you began to attack him as well. Ayazf only tried to complete my page. He was only trying to do the right thing. I completely understand your passion for correct information and the integrity of the Wikipedia resource, I also understand the daily attempts you face with people trying to post incorrect information, but instead of constantly attacking and shooting down information, how about we try an open, mutual, and beneficial conversation. For the sake of Wikipedia. The information we are trying so desperately to add is true and needs to be part of Wikipedia. Ask Jimmy Wales about me and our conversation about immortalizing him in my book, The Social Media Bible. We both share a passion for documentation. I have been a supporter of Wikipedia since it's beginning. So, can someone please contact me at LonSafko@Gmail.com so we can have a conversation and get this resolved. Thank you.
