WP:PEA edit

Hello, I'm Toccata quarta. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. "Minor" edits edit

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Toccata quarta (talk) 04:36, 8 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Yopie. I noticed that you made a comment that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Yopie (talk) 11:17, 31 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

I cannot respect or even cooperate with somebody, who repeatedly removes apparent facts, proved by references, in addition without any relevant reason (or simply without any reason). It is absolutely arrogant and stupid attitude and I know from experiences of other users it is your common style. I am a researcher and your inquisitorial censorship is absolutely impossible in contemporary scientific world. It seems to be obvious you serve to something, but definitely not to the facts, if you don´t want them to be revealed. Therefore, all of your words about "objectivity" and "neutral point of view" as well as your words about cooperation can be considered only as a hypocritical bullshit.Askave (talk) 16:45, 31 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Toccata quarta (talk) 17:15, 31 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

To "Toccata No.4" - Please, do not teach me manners. Take care more about behaviour of that guy, deleting and erasing articles or paragraphs without any reason, regardless they are full of verifiable facts, but with an apparent special focusing on the issue, which is probably not convenient to him. Maybe I used one indecent word, but I do not behave indecent or arrogant in the own activity, which is usual attribute of that "Yopie" (and his others alter egos probably). If Wikipedia promotes itself as "neutral", that kind of behaviour is in direct contradiction to its basic principles and attacks predominantly all the people, spending a lot of time to contribute to W by some work. If that guy has the position of admin, it does not mean he can be some almighty censor.....I hope at leastAskave (talk) 14:27, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Even if a person's claim is correct, Wikipedia policies still require that we are polite to other editors that we disagree with. Please understand and follow this, even if people reject your ideas. A few days ago, I reverted your edits (changing "Czech Republic" to "Czechia"). I explained that I did this because the beginning of article for "Czech Republic" did not mention Czechia as a possible name for the country. I have now inserted Czechia as an alternate name in the "Czech Republic" article. But it was quickly reverted by another editor. At least I am trying to solve this problem. Gently, Pete unseth (talk) 21:48, 15 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Pete, unfortunately I am not sure what you have in mind. Tell me what you exactly mean. I try to be polite, but unprecendent and hypocritical behaviour of admin Yopie, deleting content of my contributions (I mean my article, not some ad hoc inventions of, which I usually only supported by comments in discussion) without any explanatzion and discussion is shocking for me. At the same time, to be accused by the same person from acting from more than one IP adresses is too much for me. I don´t need it. If Yopie would not intrude in my texts like a censor, I would not try to defend myself and react in cohesion with the fact my work is attacked unprincipled way. Thank you for your trying to solve that problem. Best regards. Askave (talk) 14:41, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

October 2013 edit

Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Yopie (talk) 10:34, 7 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hey, stop annoy me by your slimy behaviour and awkward notices, threats etc. All that case with deletion of my article is simply a dirty swindle. "Wikipedia's principles" are only written down and maybe work for the others, but not for you. Askave (talk) 13:55, 8 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Askave, I saw that you made a draft for a new article at User:Askave. According to WP:STALEDRAFT, "Short term hosting of potentially valid articles and other reasonable content under development or in active use is usually acceptable (the template {{userspace draft}} can be added to the top of the page to identify these)." But in this case, you haven't edited your draft for a long time. If you are done, please donate it by moving User:Askave to a Wikipedia:WikiProject Abandoned Drafts subpage (a participant may help). If you are not done, please finish it and move it. If you abandoned it, you may request it for deletion by putting "{{db-u1}}" or donating it. Thank you. Yopie (talk) 21:11, 24 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wikilinking edit

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.

I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

(This even applies for infoboxes.)

Thanks and my best wishes.

Tony (talk) 09:24, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I use geographical , neutral, official short and timeless name of the country. It is problem of Wikipedia, it does not use it and complicates situation in detection of the state by confusing unofficial or transitional names. Somebody should start to do it, then, all will be better for reader and well-known. Askave (talk) 09:48, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Cut and paste page move at MTV Czech edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give MTV Czech a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. C679 05:56, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

If there is something wrong, it is necessary to correct it. You have all references why. So, your reasons for reverting of the page to that nonsense "MTV Czech" are irrelevant. Askave (talk) 07:53, 13 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Far from being "nonsense", the references at the page use "MTV Czech". The use of "MTV Czechia" is not established. C679 09:43, 13 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your references do not work. My references are apparent. You can see pages I added and you pretend you are blind (The use of "MTV Czechia" is not established) - you are funny. OK, no comment. Admin is always right, is not it ? I do not care about some stupid MTV, it was changed because of the principle and references. In addition, "Czech" is an adjective, nationality and language, but absolutely not the name of the country. Tell me, what you have against the name Czechia, it has to be some Wiki-disease. "MTV Czech and Slovakia", what is it ? The same nonsense like "MTV French and Italy". Useless to argue with you. Czechia is simply prohibited name in Wikipedia, really "objective encyclopedy...." Askave (talk) 15:28, 14 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

MTV uses "MTV Czech" as we can see from the references at the page. I wonder where ""MTV Czechia" comes from… you haven't provided any references which use your favoured wording, so the article can not be changed. C679 17:21, 14 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Are you kidding me ? Do you really wonder or are you really so blind or even so uneducated ? In addition, the article was updated and you only reverted it to outdated version. Ok, in that case, you have to to read it again :-) After this experience I do not wonder any longer after this experience. In general, it is an ill service to all Czech issues (not only) in Wikipedia.Askave (talk) 16:15, 16 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

No. I recommend you read WP:A before making any more edits unattributed to reliable sources. Thanks, C679 20:50, 16 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

April 2014 edit
