Changing the definition in the first sentence

edit

Hello Arnbiology, I saw that in various of your edits change the definition of a term in the first sentence of the article, often using rather unconventional definitions associated with process philosophy (for example, [1], [2], and [3]. Many of these (and others of your edits) were reverted. The lead section (and specifically the first sentence) is the most important part of an article and great care should be taken when modifying it. Its goal is to summarize the article and provide an overview of it, see WP:LEAD. If you want to introduce new contents and claims to the article, you should do so first in the body of the article and then, if those edits are accepted and the claims are important enough, add a summary to the lead. Wikipedia is a general encyclopedia, not an encyclopedia of process philosophy. So please make sure that you don't add claims and views belonging to process philosophy as if they were a universally accepted. Phlsph7 (talk) 06:24, 25 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Liz, Please "Delete" my 'editing' of the 'original' PmWiki "Imagination philosophy" Article...Please do not "Delete" the original page; It is a existing PmWiki Thumbnail Article that I was trying to hyperlink the title of-for easier access to the Article.
In the discussion here, there seems some confusion about whether this is a Article or an edit...it's my editing that should be "Deleted"...I am moving to a sandbox to learn about Hyperlinking 'PmWiki Thumbnail Article Titles'. thanks, Arnie

Thanks,:* This is a Copy of an original PmWiki Article page titled "Imagination philosophy", please check it out...
"Imagination philosophy" in Wikipedia can not be linked or cited...this was only an attempt at/to linking-citing it...
This is/was an attempt to move an existing reference page-To-Be-a new Article page...for citing and linking purposes...
This also was a response to 'Wiki discussion' about the Article "Imagination" combining related topics...
I'm sending this 'talk' to my sandbox for help, to make "Imagination philosophy" a Article some day.

Hello Arnbiology. I know that you wanted to make a hyperlink for it, but a random collection of refs is not going to help explain the term. To do that, you actually have to write an article. Asparagusus (interaction) 18:26, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please check out the original PmWiki Article...it is an existing 'collection of refs'...I was trying to "hyperlink" the title only?...and then got interested in editing it. After deleting my editing...If you know how to hyperlink the original PmWiki Article Title, please do it. Arnbiology (talk) 20:20, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
It looks like you want us to add a hyperlink (from somewhere in English-language Wikipedia, you haven't specified where) to an article (whose URL you haven't provided) somewhere on pmwiki.org. Or maybe you want to add a hyperlink from somewhere in pmwiki.org to an article that hasn't been written, in en:Wikipedia? Can you explain clearly what it is that you're hoping to do? Maproom (talk) 08:18, 17 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Speedy Delete please...This was an existing wiki promotion Article in Wikipedia? Apparently now in conflict with Wikipedia. I did not know this while I was trying to edit and link its title for easy access in Wikipedia. This is what I was hoping for, thanks Arnbiology (talk) 16:25, 17 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Apparently Deletion has been closed, thanks all... Arnbiology (talk) 18:07, 17 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm glad to see that you're interested in contributing to articles about philosophy! I wanted to let you know that no, chatboxes should never be used as sources on Wikipedia. It seems that many of your edits have changed wordings in a way that does not match Wikipedia's style and is not helpful in building the articles. If you need help with editing, I suggest you post any questions at the teahouse. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 19:30, 19 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
