July 2021 edit

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Dead reference links edit

Please don't remove dead reference links. They may still be useful as per Wikipedia:Link rot#Keeping dead links. In Airports of London the tagging as dead was done by InternetArchiveBot and it only checks the Internet Archive and a human search may be able to find a dead citation. In this case I wasn't able to but I did find an alternative which does the same thing. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 18:36, 28 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message edit

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:05, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Martin Yeza edit

Hello and thank you for creating this article. Can you please explain a little bit more in the article what the Alimentar Program is (why their theft would be notable) as people outside Argentine won't know what the significance is. JW 1961 Talk 18:36, 4 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Joseywales1961, Thanks for taking your time to read it. I will expand more on it tomorrow. Cheers. Annie Kingdom (talk) 19:46, 4 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Annie Kingdom and keep up the good work, I see a lot of new articles on New Page Review and your Argentine Politician ones are easy to review and a good standard JW 1961 Talk 23:15, 4 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

CSD G13s edit

Hello, Annie Kingdom,

We are pretty strict about tagging and deleting G13 stale drafts. Look at the page history and do not tag the page until six months since the last human edit, not hours early. You can see drafts coming up for their eligibility at Category:AfC G13 eligible soon submissions. Also, if you are in the U.S., there is an hour time difference between today, January, and July 2021 due to the difference in Daylight Savings Time but that can be easily adjusted for. But now that these pages have recent edits, they may not be eligible for another six months, it will depend upon the admin who reviews the page.

Thank you for your help but it doesn't help to tag pages before they are eligible and can actually delay their deletion. Liz Read! Talk! 06:29, 5 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry I just thought since it was last edited on the 5th that it'd be eligible for deletion. I will take care with this next time, thank you. Annie Kingdom (talk) 06:44, 5 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Some baklava for you! edit

Hi thanks for creating Álvaro de Lamadrid which I’ve just reviewed. When basing an en.wiki article on material from another wiki, you need to ensure the material is properly attributed for copyright reasons. I’ve added a translation template to the talk page, and you can use it yourself with future articles. All the best Mccapra (talk) 19:32, 5 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Draft:Latham Saddler edit

Hello, Annie Kingdom,

You tagged this draft for deletion less than an hour after the page creator had edited it. That's not allowing much time for an article creator to perfect an article and demonstrate the subject's notability.

I think your time on Wikipedia would be better spent patrolling additions to main space that are not appropriate and less time in Draft space where editors are allowed a great deal of leeway to create, develop and improve articles over a period of time. We do not judge drafts by the same standards that we judge new page additions to main space. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:50, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

A handy tool to use edit

Hi Annie Kingdom, when you are creating talk pages for articles, the tool WP:RATER is very quick and easy to use for adding the project tags rather than having to type out manually :) JW 1961 Talk 10:21, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Joseywales1961 I had noticed that you used it once when reviewing one of my pages i tried installing it, It's great to use but the problem is that i can't seem to add that banner shell in it, i don't know if there's a way around that. Annie Kingdom (talk) 10:30, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Not a great techie myself, but I think the banner shell only appears if you are adding 3 or more categories - for your creations I would always put projects Biography, Politics and Argentina JW 1961 Talk 12:33, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Joseywales1961, Thanks much appreciated I will try to use that. Once again thanks for your help and support. Annie Kingdom (talk) 17:05, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Just to say thank you, it actually adds the banner shell when you add upto 3 WikiProjects. Annie Kingdom (talk) 18:16, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Great! and happy editing JW 1961 Talk 19:30, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon moved to draftspace edit

Thanks for the heads up. One thing I should note about this movie, however, is that as I noted in my edit description, the amount of information about the movie available in public spaces is very scant. For example: Gary Anthony Williams is not shown as being in the movie on places like IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes. The only official source you can see him being credited is in the movie's actual credits. But even then things get a bit complicated because the movie's credits simply list the names of all the actors and do not attribute them to a particular role. So in other words, the only official source stating that Gary Anthony Williams is in the movie is in the movie's credits, and the only confirmation of him playing the character that he played is by seeing him playing said character onscreen. Like I said, it's kind of a weird situation. It's already been over two weeks since the movie was released, so don't really see a whole lot of other official information about it being released. I can probably at least get some sources for things like release date and production companies, but aside from that, the only official source we have for a lot of this info is the movie itself. –Nahald (talk) 08:18, 8 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Nahald I understand however you'd need independent sources to able to demonstrate notability. For the meantime you can work on it in Draftspace. Annie Kingdom (talk) 08:26, 8 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:People from Potiskum edit

A tag has been placed on Category:People from Potiskum indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself.
