Ciao, ho spostato quelle due pagine perché la traslitterazione non era corretta: "облысы", infatti, deve essere traslitterato con il termine "oblysy" (e non "oblys"); sul punto, Aiuto:Cirillico. Per quanto riguarda la nomenclatura, è da premettere che ogni progetto segue i suoi propri standard: ogni progetto, cioè, ha delle sue specifiche convenzioni e può prescegliere, indifferentemente, la denominazione in lingua originale oppure la rispettiva traduzione in italiano; visto però che era già presente la Categoria:Kazakistan - le sue regioni, mi è sembrato preferibile tradurre direttamente con "regione". Per quanto riguarda invece le convezioni di it.wiki, va utilizzata la denominazione in italiano, sempreché la traduzione sia attestata; in caso contrario, va utilizzata la dizione in lingua originale. Nel caso specifico del Kazakistan, "oblysy" può essere tradotto senza alcun problema con "regione" o con "provincia"; è stata prescelta la prima dal momento che sia geohive che statoids utilizzano il termine "regione", e che per termini etimologicamente analoghi (oblast) la traduzione attestata in documenti ufficiali è quella di "regione" (cfr. http://www.constitution.ru/en/10003000-04.htm Costituzione della Federazione Russa, nella parte in cui traduce "oblast" con "region"). Qualche spunto può provenire anche dalla relativa discussione su en.wiki. Segnalo peraltro che su it.wiki solo di recente si è provveduto a uniformare un minimo le singole voci...
