Welcome! edit

Hi, Alyssa Nutter. Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Our intro page contains a lot of helpful material for new users—please check it out! If you need help, visit Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page.

I do have one small concern: it's the number of edits you've made to amusement park articles, sometimes reverting yourself, and apparently getting into minor editing wars over whether a location was closed or removed. Take your time and be sure of your sources. You may be called upon to justify your edits, and if the consensus goes against you, you could be banned. — Myk Streja (who?) 00:47, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

For those who may not be aware, this appears to be the same editor (based on similar changes made to the same articles) as 69.47.136.111, which was recently blocked for 48 hours. By the looks of things, the editing behavior doesn't appear to have changed as a result. --GoneIn60 (talk) 08:46, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

re: Pirates 4-D edit

Alyssa: Please see Talk:Pirates 4-D section 7 "Removed?", (at the very bottom of the page) and join the discussion. Rather than just undoing your revision, I would like to understand your logic.Oddjob84 (talk) 02:16, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Amusement park article editing edit

It appears you are continuing down the same path as 69.47.136.111. Please take a moment to listen to the comments being left here and in the edit summaries at the articles you are editing. We are willing to discuss and help with any issues you are having, but you need to engage. Continuing down this road without discussion will lead to further action. Thank you. --GoneIn60 (talk) 09:00, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

June 2017 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at The Jester (roller coaster). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. GoneIn60 (talk) 22:19, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring notice edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Disney Junior – Live on Stage. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Jim1138 (talk) 22:25, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Jim1138 (talk) 22:27, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Honey, I Shrunk the Audience!. Jim1138 (talk) 22:27, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:33, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Jim1138 (talk) 18:22, 22 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

References edit

Adding references is how we ensure that content is valid. Without references, a reader can not easily validate information and there is no presumption of accuracy. See Help:Referencing for beginners and Help:footnotes. There is a tool that can help: See wp:RefToolbar/2.0. This is covered by the Wikipedia policy of wp:verifiability (WP:V). Please wp:cite your edits with wp:reliable sources (RS). Per WP:V unsourced content can be removed. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 18:32, 22 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for continued disruptive editing as seen here. Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:30, 22 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
In an oversight I placed ↑this↑ notification for you yesterday without implementing the block as I had intended. I've now fixed that error.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:36, 23 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Tagging pages for speedy deletion edit

Hello, Alyssa Nutter,

You can't just tag pages "Delete". We have accepted Criteria for Speedy Deletion and you need to specify which criteria applies to the page you are tagging for speedy deletion. Please review WP:CSD thoroughly so you understand all of the criteria, when they apply and to which namespace they apply. Do not tag any more pages until you know it well.

It helps if you make use of Twinkle. It is also mandatory that when you tag a page for any type of deletion (CSD, PROD, AFD/RFD/TFD/etc.), you need to post a notice on the talk page of the page creator informing them of the tagging. If you set up your Twinkle Preferences to "Notify page creator" and set up so that ALL CSD criteria boxes are checked, then Twinkle will post these notices for you.

If you have questions about editing on Wikipedia or its deletion processes, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:37, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Alyssa, regarding Category:Roller coasters by status, categories can only be tagged CSD C1 as empty categories if they are, indeed, empty. Also, as I said, you need to notify the page creator if you tag a page for deletion. Always. Liz Read! Talk! 02:35, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

January 2023 edit

Before adding a category to an article, as you did to The Transformers: The Movie, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 03:46, 3 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not categorize films as being box office bombs unless that specific language has been used in the text of the article. That phrasing has connotations above and beyond a film simply not making back its budget, and any such use of that language within an article must be supported by sources. DonIago (talk) 03:48, 3 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Category:Box-office bombs has been nominated for deletion edit

Category:Box-office bombs has been nominated for deletion. A discussion is taking place to decide whether this proposal complies with the categorization guidelines. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the categories for discussion page. Thank you.
