why I removed jackson's cameo in the producers edit

I have searched and found no such news of him being on the show from any websites, even if fans say they saw him filming (which I also didn't find any evidence of) the editors could cut his scenes from the episode before then and that is only if it is true that he will be on it. The producers hasn't even an aired 1 episode yet. Frankly you should be happy I didn't remove more. Also cameos are not considered notable appearances and shouldn't be put in filmography to begin with but I mostly don't care to monitor members pages unless there is something horribly wrong with one...like listing a fake appearance. Did you mean to cite his appearance on that show with rapmonster? Because that is a different show.Peachywink (talk) 21:49, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Peachywink Hi Peachywink, thanks for the signature tip and where the post should go to, sure I have a lot of things to learn on the way. BTW, regarding his cameo in ep 3 "The producers" drama (aired 22 May), if you read Korean, you can find the information from JYP's website here [[1]]. Also I don't know that we should not list the cameo role. I'm sure it's pretty small; however cameo roles do appear in other actor profiles, so I thought just put it in for consistency. Appreciate if you can enlighten me on that. Alicevuth (talk) 07:53, 26 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sure thing. So on wiki we have a sort of mantra or common phrase "Just because it's on other pages doesn't mean it's okay". Since wiki is short on editors articles that break format are common so what we tell people is to look and see if the article has been rated by editors (it will be at the top of the article's talk page) and if so how high is it rated? You want to find something that is "Good" quality or better and one that was reviewed in the last 6 months. But those can be hard to find, the only k-pop member page that is currently rated good is G-Dragon's and that rating was given back in 2011 it's no longer trustworthy. Plus he doesn't even have a filmography section. So here is a page that isn't perfect but has a good list of television appearances for the actor: Channing Tatum. Now you may notice only 3 appearances are listed, The episode he hosted of SNL -so the show was focused on him being there, and the two acting roles he had in scripted tv series where his roles were substantial. No variety shows are listed, and yes he has actually been on a variety show "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" and no talk shows. There will be pages that list them of course but all because it is done doesn't mean it should have been. Wikipedia is not IMDB and we are only supposed to include notable appearance. For a cameo to be included it would have needed to have gained extra attention and had articles written about it on acceptable news sites, not just a "this person appeared" but "this person appeared and the episode got a 3% ratings boost" sort of article.
I know this can feel like your article is being targeted. It's not, I was just passing by, other wise there would have been more I removed. Instead I just took out the one thing that caught my eye as being obviously wrong. A cameo that hasn't been announced, that not even twitter fans have mentioned, on a show that is unclear about if it is variety or drama that hasn't aired it's first episode, and has zero articles mentioning his appearance. Schedules get canceled or changed and people's appearances can be edited out before it airs. At this time there is no reason to include it, only a bunch for why it should be excluded. Again this is not me attacking the artist or you I am just trying to be clear about what I was thinking when I removed it because I did search for mentions of it and possible articles. The fact I couldn't find any even from bad sources was what prompted the deletion. No one is writing about about his upcoming cameo ergo it is not notable, yet.Peachywink (talk) 14:41, 26 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Peachywink Well i guess i sorta get what you mean. The only thing we are not in the same page is Jackson, together with Nichkhun, Sunmi, Jokwon and JYP will be cameo in The Producers ep 3 (it could be 1 or 2 seconds though who knows). The info is updated in their group schedule from JYP official website that I included in previous post. To me it's more reliable than other fan accounts as it comes from their offical source. However, i do agree that the cameo is not something significant, it's just i was editing the page so i put it in, like what i mentioned, in other actors' profiles do have cameo. I wont add it back anyway. Thanks. Alicevuth (talk) 03:33, 27 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's okay to ask and I hope I didn't come across as harsh I just like to be thorough when I respond. But as for the schedule while I agree it's mostly reliable it has been wrong before. Where the hell is that second episode of a song for you I was promised JYP? And how dare you make me think Mark would actually appear on a program, yes he got injured and should rest but I would rather have never known about it. T_T

(talk) 04:29, 27 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Peachywink Haha no worries, it was not harsh nor i was offended or anything. I love to ask people to know where they come from and there might be few things I can learn from the conversation. Just that it most likely ended up with that person worry their words are too harsh, lol. Do I sound like I'm very vulnerable T_T ? Regarding A Song For You, even its offical twitter account tweeted about it but it never aired. I do wonder what happened too. For Mark's case I suspect he was injured and sick so member need to replace him. Anw nice talking to u. Are u Mark stan? Lol Alicevuth (talk) 04:51, 27 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes lol. So of course I also like Jackson who can actually make mark talk. I was heartbroken to hear there would be no more ASC after show, therefore no more markson show. Arirang is mean, lol. It was good to talk with you too, and you don't seem vulnerable, I just worry how things will be read and don't want to be the one to scare off newer editors.
