Re: Your email

edit

You asked:

1. Why the colored photos of the paintings were removed from the article,? - when originally the only objections raised were related to black & white photos and the editor has stated that the colored photos were fine, as it relates to wikimedia common copy rights. I refer you to the history of our communication on this subject, with wikipedia / wikimedia commons. Is this issue now resolved? Can i add back the photos related to the subject of my article: Modern Miniatures.

Nine images were unlinked from Draft:Farrokh Shayesteh in mid-September because permission information was missing. Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons are both projects of the Wikimedia Foundation, but they are separate entities. If your previous communication on the subject was by email, I will have no access to it. If it was with OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org), then they may still be processing any license information you supplied. It is not unusual for them to have backlogs of weeks or months. Other possibilities include that copyright on the images may have lapsed in some jurisdictions, but not in others, or that although still under copyright, a claim of fair use may be made (but fair use applies only to articles, not to drafts, hence the removal). There may be more information on your Wikimedia Commons talk page. The presence or absence of images will have no effect on whether the draft is accepted for publication or not, so the issue should be your lowest priority.

2. Where are the specific areas as to the text, were there is any objections?

Writing for Wikipedia will be very different from any other kind of writing you've done. Academic experts often find it extremely frustrating. Their expertise carries no weight and their contributions are edited mercilessly by laypeople. If you want to go ahead, you may find it useful to study Wikipedia's best articles, particularly those in the "Art, architecture, and archaeology biographies" section.

Unlike other forms, do not tell the reader what you are going to tell them with expressions like, "This brief note ..." The tone should be formal, not conversational. Phrases such as, "we are reminded of" are inappropriate. Wikipedia articles may include opinions, but only previously published ones. In this way, an encyclopedia article is much like a review of the current literature on the topic. Opinions should not be stated in Wikipedia's voice, but attributed inline to the authors who expressed them. The draft is riddled with unattributed opinion: "reflects a gifted child", "to perfect his artistic mastery", "mastered", "notable in the photographs is the conjoining of paintings with politics", "reflect a synthesis of", "bears a weight of sadness and depth beyond his years", "tender age of twelve", "remains a key dyad", and so on. You have a lot of work ahead of you. --Worldbruce (talk) 00:27, 5 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Cat-E , Farrokh Shayesteh - Water Color, 1980. Untitled.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Cat-E , Farrokh Shayesteh - Water Color, 1980. Untitled.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Also:

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 7 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Deleted major sections of the article - so we will not be tagged as advertisers of Shayesteh

edit

Greetings. Please review the article and narrow down the areas where you may find it to be problematic. I have personally spent months, as the history of our communication reflects to meet and full fill your requirement for an encyclopedic, objective writing for wikipedia. Like you Please avoid making general sweeping statements. Please highlight also which areas passes your edits, so we will not be simply confronted with a sweeping statement that this is simply an advertisement! I refer you tp the articles written on Picasso and Vangogh on Wikipedia. Any positive statement about an artist should not be translated to "Well this is just an advertisement".

If the artist is notable and significant, then it is what it is.

We have given up on uploading supportive photographs. A history of our discussion reflects that no matter what we did, we did not succeed. Farrokh shayesteh provided you with the license agreement, I imported the photographs from wiimedia. It was accepted. Then we attempted to upload black and white photos. Then it was rejected. So we gave up on significant hisrself, I am a volenteer writing for wikipedia. I have nothing to personally gain. I believe the article's content has some significance. torical documents, despite providing wikimedia with all the necessary documents, then the color photos were deleted. We have gone round and round for months. We therefore give up on uploading additional or previous photos, all of which belonged to the painter Farrokh Shayesteh, who took photos of these paintings and gave me permission to import. Both Shayesteh and myself, wrote to wikimedia and wikipedia, repeatedly and did all we could following all your links. On the one hand you state that wikimedia needs th photos to be available for anyone to copy for any purpose, including commercial purpose. On the other hand you give the option that we should be able to upload the photos under research for this article only and not for commercial purpose. In other words, You confuse and then reject the photos, no matter which of the two options we follow. We are trying to meet your criterias to no avail. We have worked on this for months. Each volenteer sends us through another spin.

So now that we do not wish to upload any or any previous photos, that keeps rejected in one form or another, kindly review the article. It is not more than 2 pages. I have deleted major sections so we can meet your criteria. Kindly let me know the sections that needs to be deleted, so we can meet your "OBJECTIVE" criteria.

I must say it has been an absolute painn to work this far, this long and achieve absolutely nothing. So please since you have the energhyb and the great insight of what it takes to write one page or mone paragraph that will meet your criteria, please advise. I am all ears and appreciate anyn help you can give us.
