Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because I haven't done anything wrong and I am literally just using a template I found on the official wikipedia page.

Hello Alikisok, I was the one who nominated your Userpage for deletion. I'm not an administrator so I cannot see the text either but I beleive that you put in you full date of birth and you're under 18. While there's nothing wrong with being under 18 many young editors don't realize that it is never a good idea to post personal identity information online. Wikipedia does not use privacy viewing controls so your content could be seen by anybody.

Wikipedia has a long learning curve. Many new editors also don't realize that User pages and User talk pages are intended only to promote collegiality among users. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and:

• not a free webhosting service ,
• not a personal website,
• not a memorial or genealogy site
• not a blog
• not a social media site.

Nor are user pages intended to host articles, CV's/resumés or lengthy autobiographies.

As Wikipedia is an encyclopedia subjects of articles must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources which are unconnected with the subject and which provide verifiable information.

Request reason:

I didn't cite my sources in my first article which was my fault, but I have now improved everything and given valid sources to prove and cite all info on my wikipedia. It was an honest mistake. 331dot (talk) 09:18, 13 November 2023 (UTC)

A lack of citing sources is not why you were blocked- you seem to be here to promote yourself. Wikipedia is not a place for people to tell the world about themselves, see the autobiography policy.
