Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as LinkedWords, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a direct copy from http://linkedwords.com/about.php. As a copyright violation, LinkedWords appears to qualify for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. LinkedWords has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. If the source is a credible one, please consider rewriting the content and citing the source.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GFDL, you can comment to that effect on Talk:LinkedWords. If the article has already been deleted, but you have a proper release, you can reenter the content at LinkedWords, after describing the release on the talk page. I've userified this at your request and removed the PROD tag. Please work on it and address the issues raised... when you think you've got it all sorted and it fits WP:CORP, you can move it back or seek assistance. ++Lar: t/c 18:46, 8 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Spam in Contextual advertising

edit

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Contextual advertising. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 13:22, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Linked words prod - being removed as spam

edit

Linked words

edit

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Linked words, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}.

I'm sorry, but this violates many Wikipedia policies, from copyright violation (text copied from the website), notability, spam, verfiability, etc. You can contribute to Wikipedia so long as it conforms to these policies and I encourage you to do so, but please don't use this to promote your websites or your "linked words" philosophy, as it's Wikipedia:Original research and fails Wikipedia:Notability guidelines. See WP:5 to under stand the '5 pillars' of Wikipedia. -Nathan J. Yoder 09:02, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:26, 24 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
