The Threats
editHi, I just had a look at the page you created on The Threats (band). At the moment, it looks like this band does not meet Wikipedia's general notability requirements or the specific criteria for musical bands. If The Threats have been covered in multiple, significant, independent sources, please add those to the article. If not, the page will most likely be nominated for deletion. Please ask me (you can post at the article page or my talk page if you have any questions. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:42, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
- Neither myspace nor facebook are reliable sources. I actually think the indievision isn't either, because it looks like the info isn't controlled by editors--i.e., it's closer to a blogging site than a news site. But even if it is okay, that's not enough to establish notability. One of the mentions is very brief, and the other lists them as one band out of half a dozen in a year end review. That certainly doesn't rise to the level of signficant, notable coverage. Has the band performed a major national or international tour? Have they released an album with a major record label or established indie label? Have they won prestigious awards? Have they been featured in major music news articles (which can be online, but should not be on blogging sites)? Qwyrxian (talk) 13:07, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
