Bundesland-level categories edit

Hello! I see you are listed in Category:Wikipedians in Germany. I have made subcategories for each Bundesland in case you would like to add yourself to the appropriate one. See Category:Wikipedians in Germany for a list of the subcategories (they use the English names, the same as their Wikipedia articles). --Angr (tɔk) 15:54, 15 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Translation request edit

Hello, I saw that you are a native speaker of Arabic, so I would like to ask you if you could take a look at 2003 invasion of Iraq and Iraq War. There is a featured article in Arabic which we would like to know how it could be used the English one which is of course dominated by people who have either been there as soldiers or have their knowledge from western media. Someone also asked if the section about "related propaganda and phrases" could be amplified with information about the Iraqi side. Maybe there are also people who took photos in Iraq at the Arabic version? Nameme 14:41, 2 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but the Arabic article isnt very helpfull, there are no photos (only one with Saddam Hussein) and no information from the Iraqi side. -- User:Al1976 19:18, 2 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh, that surprises me. Why is it feautured then? Nameme 19:38, 2 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
The Arabic Wiki has less than 10,000 article, anything should be feautured! -- User:Al1976 19:51, 2 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dubai TV edit

Hi, could you help us? A vandal (IP1 IP2 IP3) came along a couple months ago a made a mess. It wasn't all noticed until just recently, but you might be able to help us out.

You see, one of the things he's been doing is asserting that Dubai TV distributes many different anime shows. Given his history of vandalism, those assertions are now very questionable. I found you backtracing from the Dubai TV article, and noticed that you also placed a link to Dubai TV as the vandal did.[1] Dubai TV's website is down, so we can't independently verify what they air, so I was wondering if you could help us?

Here is a partial list of the pages the vandal placed Dubai TV references on:

There are likely more. I'm still searching. Additionally, in a similar fashion, it seems several articles link to Spacetoon.[2] Anyway, thanks for any help you can offer. –Gunslinger47 05:53, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dubai TV only broadcasted Case Close, the rest is simply wrong so you can delete it. Spacetoon is correct, they showed Doremi, DBZ and Hamtaro.--Al1976 18:55, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Much thanks. –Gunslinger47 23:54, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Any word on if Spacetoon carries the original Dragon Ball or DBGT? –Gunslinger47 00:53, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
As far as i know they didnt broadcast GT, but they showed the org. DB. --Al1976 16:26, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

James Milner Career section edit

Not really asking for full feedback on this article (although I wouldn’t mind it). I’d just like to know what you feel the best way the divide up the Career section is, by Club, by season, not at all or some other way. Please leave your reply under the section in my talk page named “Milner Career section”. Buc 16:29, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Tele5-Logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Tele5-Logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 08:04, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Tele5-Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:03, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
