Beer articles edit

Hi there. Thanks for your recent work on beer and brewery articles. I noticed that you included Category:WikiProject Beer in a number of articles. This category is reserved for use outside of the main namespace. It should only be used in the "Wikipedia:", "Template:", and "Image:" namespaces (using <noinclude> in the case of templates). Also, {{Beer}} is meant to be placed on the discussion pages of beer-related articles, not in the article itself. I've updated the articles where you did these things. Fair use rationale for Image:Highpointbrewlogo1.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Highpointbrewlogo1.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:37, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Queen (chess) edit

Sorry, I overestimated the amount of fixing that was required. The only one factual point that needed to be addressed was the substitution of "[[Chess endgame#Queen and pawn endings|queen endgames]]" for "pawn endgames" in the original. (This didn't make the statement false, but it was misleadingly narrow.) Quale (talk) 07:21, 27 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

No worries. I am no Chess expert, and the edits were completely for style, grammar etc. In the interest of friendly feedback... your edits are a still bit wordy and colloquial for my taste. Also, be careful of redundancies like "The only one factual point." This is a triple redundancy as "only," "one," and "point" can stand alone. For instance; "The only fact" or "The one fact" or "The factual point" are stylistically cleaner, and express the same meaning. Thanks for investing time and effort to improve Wikipedia. Speedy deletion nomination of High Point Brewing edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on High Point Brewing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 23:18, 9 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
