Removal of Dog Daycare TALK Discussion!?

I would like to know why you removed my EXPLANATION to the individual that had an issue with the falsely identified copyright violation for the Dog Daycare article that I posted earlier. The individual that had an issue with it asked that I explain the situation via talk, which I did, and then you removed it. Incorrect identification of copyright holder

I respect your note and the time you are taking, however, the original matter of the copyrighted material has still not been addressed. When my article was deleted another website that "claims" to be the copyright holder of the work was referenced. As my talk discussion pointed out, they are, in fact, NOT the copyright holder for this content, which is the ABKA. I have contacted the ABKA for permission but this information is the information they make PUBLICLY available when asked "what is a dog daycare."

Please let me know exactly what you would like me or the ABKA to do to have the original article reposted.

How to access original to get some content?

Ok, I have started to rewrite the post and have the beginning done and ready to post. I would like to get back the original post I did so I can copy some of the references and examples that were posted as that was also original research and I would prefer to not have to repeat myself. Where can I view the deleted post? I have to say I was very amused by your response, and also that it is very helpful. It's funny that my original message to you was "polite" and then I went back and edited adding two sentences (which you both quoted in your message), I figured you would never read it or respond so that's why I added them. I want to convey my gratitude for your response to my message and for the tips. Obviously my comment about not ever visiting Wikipedia was an exaggeration, I was on just a minute after sending the original message (it's just too interesting). Your line about not having to delete my next unsuitable article got me laughing very hard. Hopefully there are no hard feelings, my original Talk message was innappropriate and did not actually express my true feelings.

I have not yet visited the article you sent me the link to, but plan to very soon. I will try again, though, I hope you know! Maybe the next time you come across our article it will be approved (and spelled correctly! funny how those things sometimes just slip) and you might read it and be interested in it. As you said, we our amateur filmmakers, but hopefully not much longer!

Once again, I hope we have come to an understanding and I apologize for my comment. I would greatly appreciate it if you responded again. Stations and expressways in Japanese

Hello and thanks for the many speedies that you've done for articles I've marked! I thought it might be a good idea to bring to your attention the sheer number of articles in Japanese that a single contributor (Ken-train19890106) has added to the English wiki. I'm getting bored of going through them and stubbifying and wikifying them, so if you want to continue where I left off, there's still a significant number of them dating back quite some time. <belly laugh> I cut my teeth on Acol 35 years ago and wasted too much time in university studying for and playing in tournaments... decided to take up more steady work, but I still am on the tournament trail. I play good old Standard American five-card majors these days with my favourite partner, but also play Acol, Blue Club, 2/1, and any other system I can find a partner for (I have been looking at Marmik, Carrot Club, and all kinds of artificial systems, but can't find anyone who shares my enthusiasm for these things). You probably don't get thanked for tossing a page very often, but in this case, thank you! In this case, it is the "American Spotted Paso" which I see has been previously deleted, and I think you are actually the third person to do so, I put a similar page up for deletion a few months back, if memory serves. This appears to be a horse "breed" that is the commercial promotion of a single individual who has created a bogus "registry" and I can only locate one web site for this "breed"--this single farm. Hence, it is clearly commercial linkspam. I more or less maintain the list of horse breeds and in the horse world, a "breed" can be a pretty generously-defined thing compared to the dog world, for example, but there are limits. If you care, what they are doing is crossbreeding a Paso Fino on some sort of pinto horse and trying to call it a "breed." Maybe in 30 years or so, and when there is more than one ranch doing it...like you care about horse breeding politics...sigh...but this one will be back, like I say, I think this is actually the third time. I only came upon this entry today when I reverted vandalism and now I see it's been deleted. Clearly the page required some work and I intended to fill it out a bit after I came upon it. Any chance of you putting it back and give me a chance to add some references? This emerging band have had positive publicity in NME and are regularly featured in the Scottish Media. For example [4]. I don't know any of the previous page contributors but I have seen the band live at sell out gigs in Scotland and believe they pass the notability test (and certainly in Scotland!). Hey, seeing how you are on my "helpful admins" list, would you mind watchlisting Arabian horse for a week or so? There were a number of POV edits by User:Seblini that I reverted, and then was promptly reverted myself by an anon IP, 68.42.94.190, who was probably the same individual. Another editor fixed it, but I'd like to have some admin eyes over there just in case there is trouble or a need for warnings. If you compare the diffs [here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Arabian_horse&diff=172129352&oldid=172127692], it is obvious why these edits were not helpful (added peacock words, removed some sourced material), and looking over the individual's user page, the POV angle becomes apparent. (I've made a couple minor edits since this diff, just FYI) Anyway, having just survived an edit war on that article not long ago over a troll who wanted to keep adding stuff about beastiality to it, I am not in the mood for an edit war over yet another person who wants to trash an article that has Good Article status, but I feel that I am too close to the article to be fully objective and would greatly appreciate some neutral eyes on it for a bit. (Yes, I am lead editor on the piece and rather protective of it, guilty as charged! Can I provide you five more footnotes to prove it?? (grin)). Montanabw^(talk) 06:13, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, Mostly just watch for the same specific person to come around again. The main two things that anyone can spot are excessive peacock words, and, in this case, odd, illogical biases (deleting the specific, Bedouin and replacing it with the more generic, "Arab" was just weird). ArielGold did some perfectly fine formatting, and Ealdgyth as well as myself are both up to our ears in the horse articles and so I trust her edits. Edit summaries will probably reveal much. Improper template speedy deletions

Hi, I just noticed that you speedy-deleted Template:Babellist and Template:BabelUser after they'd been improperly tagged for speedy deletion. They were both tagged with {{deprecated}} less than a day ago, a process which has a 14-day waiting period. I'd notified the template's original author and he was supposed to have that period of time available to him in order to respond. Please check the histories of templates marked deprecated in the future to ensure that they've had the full 14 days, or alternately visit /Wikipedia:Deprecated and orphaned templates#Templates ready to be deleted for a list of those that have expired. Hello, I have posted an article about Mr. Louis B. "Skip" Dale two times now and you continue to delete it. Mr. Dale is an actual candidate seeking nomination in the 11th District of Virginia. Letting rip with a string of sulphurous curses prompted by the sheer bloody-mindedness of a particular individual and thinking, "Why the !@#$!@# am I wasting my time doing this?" But what brings me back -- and I think what brings you back as well -- is the idea that because one receives so much from society, one gives back to it, regardless of how difficult that is. In fact, there's a certain school of thought (I think it's allied with the Jehovah's Witnesses) that suggests that, the harder it is to contribute, the more worthwhile it is. The first time I was in the US for Thanksgiving, I not only had sweet potato and marshmallow pie, I had two other surprising things -- an incredible concoction called "Hershey bar pie" that would have made you diabetic just looking at it, and a 40-ounce bottle of Scotch with a built-in pouring handle. There's a certain cheerful vulgarity and open-handed largesse that Americans do better than any nation on earth. I wish them all a happy Thanksgiving!! (Ours is the second weekend in October.) I hope that this is the right place to answer you since I am new to this as you can tell. Sorry if you percieved me to be rude, I am just frustrated. When I look up the term "Delegation management" there is no explanation, but say's to write an article about the topic. So I write an article and it gets deleted. I can understand the first time maybe it was to sales focused but the secone time I pulled my hair out.

The term Delegation Management is practiced daily in business but Wikipedia has no dialoge about it. Some times it is under different names but the true sense of the action is "Delegation Management". When any project or task is assigned to another individual a delegation process is set in motion. No one manages themselves but there is always someone managing and delegating. The art of Delegation Management is gaining more scrutinty as a new mentality enters the work force and the baby boomers leave. Delegation management is alive and real, but when I write an article it gets bounced. I have one of two choices, either forget it or fight to get the term indexed. Hello. I created the page Wichita Online, which yes is about a company. I did so, because as a resident in the are of the Tatums, OK Community, I along with several other people, to include US Congressmen and US Senators worked very hard to get a Government grant. I feel that because it was worked on by such prestigious government officials and because it has to do with government money, I feel that the Wichita Online article should be left in order for the world to know what the US government is doing to bring broadband to under served areas of the country. Camp Buckner Deletion

Please explain why the Camp Buckner article was speedily deleted -- you wrote that there was little context to the article. Context does not necessarily denote notability, and in the case of Camp Buckner it is inherently notable as a US Military fortification. Having reveiwed the Military History Wikiproject and its sister project the Fortifications task force nothing seems to strike down Camp Buckner.

Okay, as far as I'm concerned you can re-post it and I won't touch it again; I accept what you say, and believe that I don't need to do anything further. However, I am worried that this problem may not be completely solved; there are bots like CorenBot that will tag the page as a copyright violation based on the identical nature of content, and another editor might also tag it as copyvio. I suspect that a comprehensive statement on the article's talk page (or maybe even in the body of the article) may be required; otherwise, you might be dealing with this situation over and over. If there's something I can do to help, by all means let me know; I've been busily researching the Wikipedia resources available in this situation and I think I know how to get this dealt with further. Superfluous redirects

Still wanna help out? Tom Dorrance

Hang on with the deletion of Tom Dorrance. He is a legitimate practitioner of Natural horsemanship. This article is a stub to a person who has been linked in many horse training articles and passes the notability criteria. I will search for references to him in other articles and create some wikilinks you can check against "what links here" to show that we need this article. I just don't have the time to do it, myself, but by getting it started, I believe others will help fill in the blanks. Give me 24 hours to get this at least past the initial hurdle. You deleted my article on the Wat Buddharangsi of Miami in Homestead, Florida

You said you deleted my article because it lacked notability. I then read the Wikipedia guidelines on notability and found them both confusing and vague.

I created this article after reading another Wikipedia article entitled "Buddhist Temples" which includes a list of temples throughout the world.

The Wat Buddharangsi is a large, beautifully ornate, Theravada, Buddhist temple in Homestead, Florida with several monks from Thailand always in residence, including its abbot. (Keep in mind Theravadism is one of the two major sects of Buddhism with millions of believers throughout the world). This temple has monthly festivals, attracting hundreds, sometimes thousands of people. I know this because I attend these festivals regularly. Also, it was constructed for the exclusive purpose of being a Buddhist temple with funding coming from Thai-Americans living throughout Florida and has existed at its present site for years. If you feel this temple doesn't deserve to be on this list of Buddhist temples then I sincerely think there's something wrong with your standards for judging this issue. Furthermore, I looked at a few other articles associated with the temples on this list and many are of similar or lesser status than the Wat Buddharangsi. This makes me question the very purpose of the list. What's the point of having a global list of Buddhist temples if you're not willing to include information on a major Buddhist temple like the Wat Buddharangsi? Its status is so great, in fact, that several months ago it hosted a display of the ashes of the Buddha himself along with the remains of other prominent monks who have been dead for centuries. Viper category moves

Hi Accounting4Taste! After having spent an entire day modifying the categories for almost 600 articles, disambiguation pages and redirects (it's times like this I question my sanity), what's left to do is now pretty straight forward. The contents of the following categories have to be moved to these associated target categories:

• Category:True vipers by common name => Category:Viperinae by common name
• Category:True vipers by taxonomic synonyms => Category:Viperinae by taxonomic synonyms
• Category:Rattlesnakes => Category:Crotalus
• Category:Rattlesnake images => Category:Crotalus images
• Category:Rattlesnakes by common name => Category:Crotalus by common name
• Category:Rattlesnakes by taxonomic synonyms => Category:Crotalus by taxonomic synonyms
• Category:American pit vipers by common name => Category:Crotalinae by common name
• Category:American pit vipers by taxonomic synonyms => Category:Crotalinae by taxonomic synonyms
• Category:Asian pit vipers by common name => Category:Crotalinae by common name
• Category:Asian pit vipers by taxonomic synonyms => Category:Crotalinae by taxonomic synonyms

After all this has been moved, I can take care of the last few hundred edits manually. Please let me know if you can arrange for a bot to take care of all this, because it can't really be left like this for too long. Thanks for your help! I've requested the bot (at WP:BOTREQ) and hope that someone answers who will either say "yes" or point me at the right spot to ask if I'm in the wrong place. Judging by the content there, though, it's the right place. I am just signing in for an hour before dinner and then will be tied up the rest of the night (west coast North America) so if you're going to be on for a while, you might keep an eye on that space for both of us.
