Cut & paste move edit

  Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Shellback (Johan Karl Schuster) a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. please see my comments on Talk:Shellback (Johan Karl Schuster) --Rogerb67 (talk) 02:57, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest edit

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Shellback (Johan Karl Schuster), you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. please see my comments on Talk:Shellback (Johan Karl Schuster) --Rogerb67 (talk) 02:57, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Schools disambiguation pages edit

Hi, thanks for your contributions. However, I have had to undo some of your changes. When we link to disambiguation pages it is correct to link through the name with 'disambigution' in the title. Please see WP:FURTHERDAB. Best, Bridgeplayer (talk) 19:28, 10 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
