Non-free content use in articles

edit

Hi 93.142.68.155. Not every file you see on Wikipedia is licensed the same way and how a file is licensed pretty much determines how it can be used. Each use of a non-free file needs satisfy Wikipedia's non-free content use policy, and the non-free use of File:Croatia national football team crest.svg was previously discussed at Wikipedia:Non-free content review/Archive 69#File:Croatia football federation.png and the consensus established was that the file's non-free use is only acceptable for the Wikipedia article about the Croatian Football Federation and not acceptable for the individual team articles. If you'd like clarification of this, you should look at File talk:Croatia national football team crest.svg or Talk:Croatia national football team#Non-free use of File:Croatia national football team crest.svg for reference or ask for help at WT:NFCC. Moving from one IP address to another and engaging in edit warring to try and force the file into the article is not going to work, and will most likely just lead to more IP addresses being blocked. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:12, 13 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Your IP 78.0.220.160 has been blocked for edit warring. That means you, the person, are blocked. You should have followed my advice at User talk:78.0.220.160 instead of jumping to a new IP and evading the block to continue the edit war. And please try to understand the explanations of why that logo can't be used. Bishonen | talk 08:57, 13 September 2018 (UTC).Reply
