Request reason:

Can you please tell me what I did wrong? I've fixed a lot of errors and outdated information in the last two years without any problems or issues, and I've used sources for most of those fixes. It is not clear to me what I did wrong.

Decline reason:

First, there is a whole series of warnings above over the course of last November that specify what you were doing wrong, which you seem not to have considered worth your time or effort to respond to, as you've never edited any user talk page but this one, nor, for that matter, any article talk page, which we might expect you to have done if you felt your good-faith edits were being misunderstood. But second, this is all moot, really, because the blocking admin believes that you were previously blocked under another IP or a registered account, since "block evasion" is given as the block reason. And third, since asking why you were blocked even when it really should have been easy to figure that out yourself is not a reason to be unblocked, I am not doing so. — Daniel Case (talk) 18:22, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

You mass-changed 20+ articles (examples: [1][2]) with only around 3-4 seconds between edits. How can you edit that fast, and how can you ensure that all the information you are adding is correct? >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 00:38, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the reply. Those were articles about clubs playing at the same stadium. In Gibraltar for example, all 11 top division clubs play at the national stadium. It has a capacity of 2,000 and I've added the most recent capacity to the club's pages. Here you can see it for example: https://www.footballgroundmap.com/grounds/gibraltar/gibraltar-national-league 77.169.189.99 (talk) 00:42, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
The Victoria Stadium, Gibraltar has a capacity of 5,000. M.Bitton (talk) 00:45, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi, the most recent capacity is currently listed as 2,000. Please take a look at this picture, with the explanation: https://i.postimg.cc/hSC9L8jP/gibraltar.jpg
The stadium used to have standing places in the past. Maybe the capacity was 5,000 in the past? You can easily check with the explanation of the picture that it must be impossible to have around 5,000 seats. I hope this clears things up :) 77.169.189.99 (talk) 00:55, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

I don't have to look at the picture when sources confirming the 5000 are plentiful[3][4]. Please make sure you double check the stable numbers before changing them based on a single source. M.Bitton (talk) 01:01, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
If you look at the pictures you can see those sources probably just copy-pasted wrong information. There are also a lot of sources, including ESPN, that the capacity is 2,000. If you look at the picture I've drawn for you, you can see it's impossible that the capacity is 5,000.
Here some sources claiming it's 2,000:

I can easily cite an equal number of sources that say 5,000, but I'll restrict the choice to a single local one which explains that its capacity has been increased from 2,000 to 5,000. M.Bitton (talk) 01:17, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Transfermarkt

edit

Since much of its content is user-edited, Transfermarkt is not considered a reliable source. Please do not cite the website in articles. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 14:32, 14 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I didn't know Transfermarkt is not considered a reliable source, I'm sorry for that. I won't use that source anymore, you have a good point that it's better not use that source anymore. I was wondering why I'm blocked again by you Sir Sputnik, because my previous ban from you ended and I only used this IP for editing in recent years. Am I not allowed to edit even if my ban ended? I've made constructive edits, I've added hundreds of missing stadiums in these lists for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_football_stadiums_in_Brazil, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_stadiums_in_Japan, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigeria_National_League 77.169.189.99 (talk) 15:44, 14 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Barnabas Youwe Stadium, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 12:22, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Materialscientist, sure, no problem. I'll add a reference. Have a nice day. 77.169.189.99 (talk) 12:27, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Stop copy/pasting stuff from "List of xxx country stadiums" to "Football in xxx" articles, those tables should not be in both articles and we already have separate articles for stadiums only for every country. Snowflake91 (talk) 12:59, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Okay, that's fine. 77.169.189.99 (talk) 14:15, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

No problem, I'll add a source. It was a minor edit, I thought it wasn't needed to prevent a huge amount of references. 77.169.189.99 (talk) 06:46, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Stadium lists

edit

Hey, sorry to revert you, since clearly you've spent a lot of time on these articles. However, please respect the scope of these list articles - an overly long list including relatively unimportant stadia makes for a less useful article. 162 etc. (talk) 15:17, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, yes I've spent a lot of time to improve the articles with more stadiums and removing errors, so I'm a bit shocked. I don't understand how these stadiums are unimportant. Those were all stadiums with a capacity above 10,000, so no small venues. Is there a way those stadiums can return? I've worked weeks on the improvements. I've also fixed numerous errors and outdated figures, those are now all gone. 77.169.189.99 (talk) 17:27, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
What's the maximum capacity for those pages then? Around 25,000? 77.169.189.99 (talk) 17:43, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oceania now only has 19 stadiums in the list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Oceanian_stadiums_by_capacity Only 30,000 plus venues. That one can be expanded with 20,000 plus venues I guess? 77.169.189.99 (talk) 18:01, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
According to "Respublik", such changes should be discussed. He reverted the removal. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_European_stadiums_by_capacity&action=history 77.169.189.99 (talk) 22:04, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've started a thread at Talk:List of European stadiums by capacity. 162 etc. (talk) 05:52, 3 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've also started threads at the other list articles' talk pages. Wikipedia community consensus will determine where we go from here. Thank you for your contributions - although I believe they are misguided in this case, I appreciate your efforts in making this a better encyclopedia. 162 etc. (talk) 16:30, 3 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you 162 etc., Wikipedia community consensus seems fair to me. 77.169.189.99 (talk) 06:41, 4 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

List of U.S. stadiums by capacity

edit

Hello, my name is Roberto. I've been monitoring your edits on the stadium page and I have a couple of requests:

One is to have the image on the left side of the table, just like all the other lists(NBA and NHL arenas, NFL, MLB, and MLS stadiums), List of indoor arenas in the United States.

The other is to make the size smaller, instead of 200x200px, make it 75x75px

Thank you....

01:10, 10 March 2023 (UTC) Roberto221 (talk) 01:10, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Roberto, that's okay for me. But outside of the US stadiums and arenas, the pictures are usually around 200 pixels and on the right side. I don't know why the US stadiums and arenas pages are different? 77.169.189.99 (talk) 07:35, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've checked, you're right. Many are also on the left and 75x75 indeed. 77.169.189.99 (talk) 07:59, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
