March 2010 Carolinas tornado outbreak
No worries - I know capitalization in article titles can be tricky, sometimes.
Incidentally, shows you how much I pay attention to things - the outbreak was two hours south of me and I hadn't heard a word about it before seeing your article. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 16:31, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

New Years Message for WikiProject United States
With the first of what I hope will be monthly newsletters I again want to welcome you to the project and hope that as we all work together through the year we can expand the project, create missing articles and generally improve the pedia thought mutual cooperation and support. Now that we have a project and a solid pool of willing members I wanted to strike while the iron is hot and solicite help in doing a few things that I believe is a good next step in solidifiing the project. I have outlined a few suggestions where you can help with on the projects talk page. This includes but is not limited too updating Portal:United States, assessing the remaining US related articles that haven't been assessed, eliminating the Unrefernced BLP's and others. If you have other suggestions or are interested in doing other things feel free. I just wanted to offer a few suggestions were additional help is needed. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments or suggestions or you can always post something on the projects talk page. --Kumioko (talk) 02:34, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

Tourniquet (band) and forums
WP:ELNO "Except for a link to an official page of the article's subject, one should generally avoid:
- 10. "Links to social networking sites (such as Myspace and Facebook), chat or discussion forums/groups (such as Yahoo! Groups), Twitter feeds, Usenet newsgroups or e-mail lists."
This means that even band-run forums are excluded. If you would like an exclusion for this forum, feel free to bring it up at Wikipedia talk:External links and I will abide with the consensus there. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:53, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- This is an official page of the band (among others). That's why it says "a link to an official page of the article's subject". Because an allowance is already made, I don't feel an allowance is necessary. 5minutes (talk) 22:07, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- Based on your argument, you don't understand WP:ELNO. The only official band site links to the official discussion page. The assumption is that official sites should link to forums, Facebook profiles, YouTube, Twitter, and other social media networks. The policy is written with that assumption in mind. If you want to make your point, please do so at Wikipedia talk:External links#Tourniquet (band).
- Also, there's a Talkback template that you can use to indicate that you want the discussion in one location. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:30, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for telling me what I do and don't understand. I love being condescended to by a Wikipedia edit snob. 5minutes (talk) 23:35, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry. Didn't mean to be snobbish. It's just obvious that you don't understand the policy correctly. If there's a way I can help in your understanding, feel free to ask. Alternately, you could go to the discussion listed above. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:03, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

A tip
When submitting reports, such as the one you submitted to AIV, please try to use diffs to show exactly where the problem behaviour lies - if there aren't any diffs, we have to dig through histories, which can get time-consuming.
As for the user you reported - while AIV isn't the appropriate forum for them, as they're not a vandal, they're certainly not being very constructive. I'll leave a note on their talk page. Cheers, m.o.p 17:44, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- Gracias. I couldn't figure out which option to go with and vandalism seemed the most natural choice. My bad. 5minutes (talk) 18:00, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- No worries, no harm done. The colloquial definition of vandalism differs from the technical definition that Wikipedia follows; generally, blatant disruption (e.g. swear words, slurs) or blanking is considered vandalism. In this case, the user seems to have a genuine will to help, but it seems they're not really well-versed in any sort of policy. m.o.p 18:25, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

You are receiving this message because you had indicated an interest in the United States Constitution on United States WikiProject. I am currently looking to improve the pages on the Amendments to the Constitution, and we currently have two Good Articles: 17 and 25. Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited Retroactive Records, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jerusalem (band) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:59, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
