Notice of noticeboard discussion edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.--Moxy (talk) 00:44, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Moxy: the IP is searching in vain for a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard that mentions them. I was going to help, but I can't find it either (or anything having to do with edits to articles about Canada, which is all this IP has edited). Can you be more specific? General Ization Talk 01:04, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Moxy: Appears to be the section you deleted here. Did you intend to delete the notice on the IP's Talk page as well? General Ization Talk 01:10, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
(ec-×5) Got them talkin so removed request for administration help. Been trying to communicate with this person for days but they keep changing IP. I have a concern about quotes being added without sources and Wikipedia being used as a source.... and the addition of red links by changing words.--Moxy (talk) 01:12, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Moxy: OK, a gentle reminder to remove the Talk page notice also if you remove the noticeboard entry it refers them to. General Ization Talk 01:15, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

overlinking edit

Please read WP:OVERLINKING. Meters (talk) 02:03, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

hi, thank you for taking time to pass that along!
when I edit, I do believe that " whether reading the article you're about to link to would help someone understand the article" and that the "term is particularly relevant to the context in the article," or there is "a contextually important reason" and a lack of familiarity — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2019‎ 2607:f2c0:e006:34:1124:5606:3e04:189a (talkcontribs) 02:10, January 22, (UTC)

oh I see its wrong to do it multiple times and other rules of style. ok. I'll try to remember thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:f2c0:e006:34:1124:5606:3e04:189a (talkcontribs) 02:16, January 22, 2019 (UTC)

Welcome! edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

Here are some links to pages you may find useful:

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.

If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (2607:F2C0:E006:34:1124:5606:3E04:189A) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Happy editing! Moxy (talk) 02:13, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please indent (one : per tab) and sign (with ~~~~ ) your replies.
Whether you think you think your edits are justified is not the point. More than one editor has pointed out that there are problems with your edits. There is no possible justification for linking the same word twice in two sentences, for example. And we don't insert random see also links in the middle of the text. Changes to the lead edit

Your pattern of changes to the lead of articles, such as at English Canadians, English Canada, and other articles is problematic, and is remiscent of a similar pattern by other new IPv6 editors in the same CIDR group. Reviewing the comments at their talk page may benefit you as well. Mathglot (talk) 09:55, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your thread has been archived edit

Hi 2607:F2C0:E006:34:1124:5606:3E04:189A! You created a thread called I got a message someone is talking about edits I may have made on the Admin notice board? at Wikipedia:Teahouse, but it has been archived because there was no discussion for a few days. You can still find the archived discussion here. If you have any additional questions that weren't answered then, please create a new thread.
