How do you upload pictures onto an article?

I have moved this down, because new entries customarily go at the bottom of talk pages, so as to keep the conversations in order.

The slightly longer answer is that it depends on the image's copyright. If the image comes with a free license that allows everybody to re-use and modify it for any purpose, including commercial purposes, such as the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License, you can upload it to the Wikimedia Commons via their Upload Wizard. If the image is not freely licensed, it probably will not be acceptable for Wikipedia; we take non-free images only under highly restrictive criteria, one of which is that no free equivalent exists or could be produced. I assume the image you want to add is of a car; that's almost guaranteed to be a case where a free equivalent could be produced. Also, non-free images would have to be uploaded to Wikipedia itself, not the Commmons. Huon (talk) 23:16, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
