The current MTR system map

This is a list of the stations of the MTR, the metro system in Hong Kong, excluding the stations on the MTR Light Rail system. Hong Kong's rapid transit network consisted of the Kowloon–Canton Railway network, which mainly served the New Territories, and the MTR network, which mainly served the Kowloon Peninsula and Hong Kong Island. After the merger of the two railway networks on 2 December 2007, the operation of the East Rail Line, West Rail Line, Ma On Shan Line and the Light Rail system was transferred to the MTR Corporation from the Kowloon–Canton Railway Corporation, the original operators of the lines. The addition of the three lines expands the MTR network to encompass 10 heavy rail lines and 84 stations.[1] Serving exclusively in northwestern New Territories, the light rail network comprises 12 routes, serving 68 stops. The network is being expanded and several new lines are being proposed or under construction.
