The Iron Crown of Lombardy (Corona Ferrea), that was used for the coronation of the Lombard kings and the kings of Italy thereafter for centuries, was the discovery of Theodelinda, a Lombard queen.

The Queens of the Gothic people were the wife of the Ostrogothic or Visigothic kings who ruled those groups Germanic people from early in the 4th century until their seperate end and demise. The Ostrogoths queens, after 493, were also Queens of Italy fell in the mid 5th century. The Visigothic queens, after 410, were also Queens of Hispania, but excluding Galicia until 584. The Visigoths fell in the 712 to the Muslims. There was never a female Lombardic monarch due to the Salic law.
