SPat making a test edit

Hi!

I'm a graduate student of physics at the University of California, Berkeley - although I'm originally from India. My areas of academic interest include strongly correlated materials, phase transitions and optical techniques in condensed matter physics. My wikipedia-work includes physics-related articles but also spans across a much broader area, including universities, cinema, literature, India among others. In particular, I am interested in and have previously worked on articles related to history, law and politics of the United States.

My other accounts: SPat (on en.wikibooks), Schrodu (good faith, unused sock-puppet).

Milestones:

1000th edit (creation)

2000th edit (creation)

3000th edit (cleanup)

I am (attempting to be) active in the Bay Area Wikipedia community.

Conflict of interest statement

edit

I, User:SPat am an employee of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, funded by the United States Department of Energy. While I may contribute to articles related to my area of professional research, I will not make any edits that are not beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia. I am aware of Wikipedia's policy on conflict of interest and in particular the guideline regarding citing my work.

I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration. - SPat talk 19:58, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
