The 2002 Wisconsin State Assembly elections were held November 5, 2002. All 99 seats of the Wisconsin State Assembly were up for election. This was the first election after the redrawing of districts due to the 2000 census. Primary elections were held September 10, 2022. The Republican Party increased the majority they had held since 1995 from 56-43 to 58-41, a net gain of two seats. The members of the 96th Wisconsin Legislature were inaugurated on January 3, 2003.
