Hello everyone, I am Andykatib and I live in Dunedin, New Zealand. I was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1991 and lived in Malaysia for 12 years. I did my high school, undergraduate, and MA studies in Dunedin in the South Island before doing my PhD in Auckland between 2016 and late 2020. I am interested in history, politics, Star Wars, and superhero comics and films. I also have an account at Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wikia.
Between 2010 and 2015, I studied history and politics at the University of Otago; completing a combined BA (Hons) degree in May 2014 and an MA degree in December 2015. My MA thesis looked at New Zealand–Indonesian relations during the Sukarno era and is available at this link.
Between 2016 and 2021, I pursued a PhD in political science at the University of Auckland, looking at advocacy groups in New Zealand and Australia that advocate on Israel-Palestine issues. I successfully defended my PhD in September 2021 and graduated in May 2022. I am currently working as a delivery driver at Domino's Pizza in Dunedin.
