My userpage edit

Hello Alistairjh, and first of all, thank you for your time. I am seeking input regarding my userpage. My userpage, and the header for the rest of my pages, reflects my personality, that is to say they are incredibly quirky. While this appeals to me, I would greatly appreciate the opinions of other editors I have interacted with on the site. So, as an editor I have come to respect, I kindly beseech you to place any comments, ideas, or opinions you may have on the subject of my userpage or page navigation header bar on the corresponding talk page. Thank you friend, and cheers!Scapler (talk) 17:42, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Wikiproject Association Football variants edit

Thanks for your support, and I'd appreciate it if you create such WPJ/taskforce. I'm not really into Wiki these days (except for the last 3/4 days), so I won't be able to do it myself.RaLo18 (talk with memy contributions) 19:40, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Template:Football edit

Stifle, I have recently started the Association Football variants taskforce of WikiProject Football. However, I cannot insert the code for this into the template as it is protected. Please edit it and put the code in. Thank you - 2o-DeMoN-o8t*c*a*wp 15:56, 12 December 2008 (UTC) - Original text from me.

Please establish a consensus for the change on the talk page, then use the {{editprotected}} tag on the talk page to request an administrator make the change.Stifle (talk) 16:24, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Football variants from TurboGUY edit

Sure, I'll join. I'm new to this whole project stuff so I've got a few questions:

  • How do I sign up?
  • What do I have to do

I should probably tell you that I only really know about beach soccer, I hope thats alright.TurboGUY (talk) 17:50, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

To join, put your name in Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Taskforce on Association Football variants with #{{user|TurboGUY}}, and I don't mind about your knowledge. I hardly knew anything about these, but I just looked them up, and became interested. 2o-DeMoN-o8t*c*a*wp 18:37, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Football variants news sources edit

Sorry, I don't know any other sources, only those on the list. For Beach Soccer, I thought I should point out that Beach Soccer Worldwide reguarly has news updates. Here's the link incase you didn't know [1]. I would check it reguarly, from there I edited the Euro Beach Soccer Cup to add the venue for next year and created the BSWW World Rankings article. Also, the Beach Soccer article was assessed back in July. Since then I think it's had quite a few inprovements. I was wondering whether it should be reassessed? This may also sound silly but how do you assess an article?TurboGUY (talk) 20:47, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

That's great! Thanks for telling me. TurboGUY (talk) 19:53, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

{{Football-variant-stub}} edit

Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first!Grutness...wha? 00:19, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Final version edit

As a contributor to the discussion regarding sports team logos, I am soliciting feedback as to the latest version of that guideline. Your support/opposition/feedback would be appreciated.— BQZip01 — talk 21:40, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Would you object to including provisions that allow for a single non-free image as a last resort if no free images exist? I think this will help bring some of those who object to the support side of the house. At the same time, it also gives a little more ammunition because it indicates it is a last resort; if a free image exists, then those images can't be used. My efforts show that almost all college football teams (which seems to be the general genre of those who oppose), if not all, have a valid free image available. In the interests of not cluttering up the talk page any further, please just respond here. — BQZip01 — talk 02:23, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
As a last resort, yes. DeMoN2009 12:23, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Ok, that's been added to a third proposal. Thoughts? — BQZip01 — talk 02:37, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
