Per this discussion I submitting a formal edit request. Please read the above discussion. To clarify, we are only requesting that the MCB tag (as well as MCB importance and all documentation related to those tags) be removed from the template. It is mostly unused and is causing issues for the actual MCB project. We are NOT yet requesting that the same tag be removed from Wikiproject Fungi, but we will likely do so after some people chime in over there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prometheus720 (talk • contribs) 15:42, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

@Prometheus720: It is not necessary to list the exact code; it is usually best to copy the live template to its sandbox - in this case Template:WikiProject Microbiology/sandbox - and then amend the sandbox appropriately. The {{Edit template-protected}} template provides us with links which can be used to make direct comparisons to see what changes are proposed.
