Celtic F.C. task force

I would like to add the Celtic task force to this template. Using this image [1]. Thank you. Adam4267 (talk) 22:49, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

You should provide the specific code you want adding to the template, following the example given by the guy who wanted to add the D.C. United TF. – PeeJay 22:55, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for that PeeJay, here is the source code;
|tf 10=
 |TF_10_LINK            = Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Celtic F.C. task force
 |TF_10_NAME            = the Celtic F.C. task force

 |tf 10 importance      =
 |TF_10_ASSESSMENT_CAT  = Celtic F.C. articles
 |TF_10_MAIN_CAT        = Celtic F.C. task force articles

and it is also at the sandbox. Adam4267 (talk) 23:10, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Scotland task force

I'd like to add the Scotland task force to this template. See source code on sandbox Template:WikiProject Football/sandbox for update. Thanks Warburton1368 (talk) 21:25, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

To the admin who sees this - The update Warburton1368 has asked for will also include some updates I have made to the template in order to add assessment capabilities for the task forces that were previously missing them. I have also neatened up the template to make it easier to see what each bit of it does. – PeeJay 12:57, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

WikiProject conversions

I've converted the Real Madrid, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday WikiProjects to task forces and added their assessment parameters to the sandbox version of this template. If an admin could update the template, that'd be super. – PeeJay 00:30, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Done. Ucucha (talk) 18:28, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Would you mind updating the template again to include the Australian and Irish task forces. I have already made the necessary adjustments to the sandbox page, so it's just a copy-and-paste job. – PeeJay 15:04, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

Women's task force

I'd like to change the picture on the women's task force articles from the current   to the more specific  . If no one has any objections, this requires the code to be amended from:

|tf 4=
 |TF_4_LINK           = Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Women's football task force
 |TF_4_NAME           = the women's task force

 |tf 4 importance     =
 |TF_4_ASSESSMENT_CAT = Women's football articles
 |TF_4_MAIN_CAT       = Women's football task force articles

|tf 4=
 |TF_4_LINK           = Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Women's football task force
 |TF_4_NAME           = the women's task force
 |TF_4_IMAGE          = Football féminin icon-fr.svg
 |TF_4_SIZE           = 30x30px

 |tf 4 importance     =
 |TF_4_ASSESSMENT_CAT = Women's football articles
 |TF_4_MAIN_CAT       = Women's football task force articles

This change should clarify that the task force is for women's football/soccer, rather than a task force for women in general. I think this is better than adding the word football to the NAME field, as doing so may confuse or irritate our American and Canadian contributors. Clavdia chauchat (talk) 10:42, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

I think the fact that it's on the WikiProject Football banner should be sufficient indication that the task force refers to women's football, but I do like the image, so I support this change. – PeeJay 10:49, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Ireland task force assessment

I have just created the categories to allow Irish football articles to be assessed by this template. I have also updated the code in the sandbox, so if an admin could update the template to reflect those changes, that would be very useful. – PeeJay 13:58, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

BTW please use the {{editprotected}} template to formally request an edit. --Redrose64 (talk) 18:37, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
I meant |National=. Can it be done now? Is it too late to add the editprotected template? Bar Code Symmetry (Talk) 19:55, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
No, it's never too late to add an {{editprotected}}; the main purpose of that template is to draw the attention of an admin, because it will put this page into Category:Wikipedia protected edit requests. That way you're not relying on somebody having this on their watchlist, or (as in my case) noticing the thread at Wikipedia:Help desk#Talk Page tagging. I may be off to bed soon.
I do have another question: following your 19:55 modification to the above, I see that |National= is now in twice each time, so effectively one is redundant. It could be set up either as
|tf 1={{{National|}}}
 |tf 1 importance     = {{#ifeq:{{lc:{{{National|}}}}}|yes||{{{National|}}}}}
which is a simpler way of having it so that only the first-letter-capitalised form will be recognised, or as
|tf 1={{{National|{{{national|}}}}}}
 |tf 1 importance     = {{#ifeq:{{lc:{{{National|{{{national|}}}}}}}}|yes||{{{National|{{{national|}}}}}}}}
which will permit either capitalisation. Which one is the intention? --Redrose64 (talk) 20:43, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

Alphabetical order

When the parameters for the Indian football task force were added, the alphabetical order of the country-specific task forces wasn't preserved. I've corrected this in the sandbox, so could an admin please apply the changes to the template? – PeeJay 16:39, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

One way of avoiding such problems is to use non-consecutive numbers. You can have as many {{WPBannerMeta/hooks/taskforces}} as you like; and in any given {{WPBannerMeta/hooks/taskforces}} there are ten slots, but you don't need to use them in the order 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. - they can be 2, 4, 6, 8, 10; or 3, 6, 9; or any variation. By doing this, gaps are left for others to be inserted in future. --Redrose64 (talk) 17:14, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
